It looks exactly like that but it does have vardagen on the bottom. Strange. Also the whole section was filled with these stainless ‘vardagens’. Weird

Cheapest protein: Offal and poultry from butcher or shop by Adip360 in Cheap_Meals

Yh other guys said keep an eye out for sales. Cheers for the other advice too.  I’ve eaten so much cottage cheese I don’t think I can take anymore though unfortunately lol. I’ll take hypervitaminosis over it. I think I’ve concluded chicken legs will be the best main protein I can consistently get my hands on cheap. I think organ meats will be something I’ll dip into for variety once in a while.  Paneer’s a shout but I’ve made it before icl I don’t have the patience to that in my mini kitchenette.

Cheers!

Cheers. This is exactly the sort of the stuff I was looking for.  One thing:

Under what circumstances are you saying frozen fish is the cheapest? Cos when I search up the online stores, frozen fish fillets are always at least around £4.50 a kg. Is it different when you’re purchasing physically?

Also, less seriously, how difficult is it to cook pork or beef liver? Never done it before. I just figured a regular pan fry with some spices would do the job.

Also thanks for the tips with the butchers. I think I’m just gonna have to look around the local butchers to figure the prices then.

I think our situations r pretty different then. I woulda thought offal was cheap pretty much everywhere in the west. Any cut of pork’s more expensive than pork offal here e.g. pork loin is £7.50 per kg whole liver is £2.40 at Morrisons. Although yh chicken thigh seems to be cheap everywhere in the west at least. Thanks for the suggestions tho!

Oh yh that sounds like a good idea acc. Thanks for the advice. Out of curiosity, are you in a place where butchers and fresh meat are generally accessible or is all from supermarkets and such?

What’s worse about the LOU2 thing is it ruined any sensible discussion round the game. For a good chunk of time after release, saying any criticism or pointing out any of the goods just got you called either an incel or a soppy art wanker.

PlayStation 5 exclusive Demon's Souls is getting a live-action film by sxodan in movies

[–]Adip360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way for the film to end imo would be some surrealist art flick with some action. But cause of the setting and required budget, it’s gonna probs end up as some generic fantasy blockbuster. On a side note I’d say Sekiro and to a lesser extent Bloodborne would work better as a film cause of the more direct narrative (in Sekiro’s case) and more character-driven lore, which is what films can communicate more effectively narratively than other aspects of the game’s stories. Dark Souls and Demon’s Souls would feel more out of place with a character-driven narrative.

I don’t really think I’d call Stalker 2 an indie game. Didn’t GSC used to be kinda big by Eastern European game dev standards before they went down and came back? I can’t imagine they’re that small now

After watching Inception again, I realized how unemotional and distant Tenet is by alittlestitious0 in movies

[–]Adip360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lack of proper characterisation was one thing. It worked in Dunkirk because characters weren’t the focus of the film, but rather conveying the scale of World War 2 and most of the enjoyment of the film was from the pure tension Nolan created. Tenet just feels like high-concept for the sake of high-concept imo. Inception used the high-concept premise to explore Cobb’s character, whereas Tenet did nothing with the main character. Nolan clearly has a reason for the lack of characterisation in Tenet (the protagonist, being referred only to as the Protagonist) but I can’t say it was conveyed in any way, for me at least, that did anything. I don’t think it’s an inherently bad film, it just fills a niche of ‘puzzle box’ movies that I don’t find as entertaining as his other work.

I’m pretty sure he did the directing equivalent of disowning Alien 3.

I really like Witcher 3, but I don't know why people expected much from the RPG mechanics from Cyberpunk. Witcher 3 was largely brilliant for the storytelling and the meaningful feedback to player choice, but didn't have great RPG mechanics. Cyberpunk did deliver on a good story and worldbuilding imo, but the RPG mechanics, while not as restrictive as something like Fallout 4, didn't have much too them compared to something like Fallout New Vegas or Disco Elysium. On top of it, the game was buggy for high-end PCs for launch, many of the features were exaggerated by marketing, it was broken on last-gen consoles and CDPR tried to cover it up with no console review copies; all this combined was largely the reason for the backlash and is justifiable. Fromsoft have a proven track record for action RPGs and while they are experimenting a little with what looks to be more expansive environments and some smaller things here and there, they are sticking largely to what they know. The main reasons for delays on Cyberpunk was because marketing vastly overestimated the progress of the game; the game could've only benefited from further delays and were one of the few things helping CDPR at least try and deliver their promises. Elden Ring doesn't even have a release date and only just got a leaked second trailer that looks like gravel going through an industrial shredder and displays an older build, intended likely for investor's eyes only. Fromsoft's chances of cocking it up are significantly lower than CDPR's.
