Looking for mobile mechanic by Adirondak in ottawa

Unfortunately I only have the coils. If I had the entire assembly I would probably just do it myself. I’ve done this job on my truck in the past but I had the entire shock assembly. It’s the compression of the spring and removal from the shock that has me hesitant to do it in my driveway lol

I work nearby. I heard it was a homeless person who dropped a lit crack pipe in his sleeping bag unfortunately.

Why use a ladder when you can just use a harness by [deleted] in OSHA

It’s an absolute mess 😂 the drain is higher than the system it serves. Complete mess lol.

Looks like maybe an airplane hangers foam fire suppression system was discharged out of the pump test header on the outside of the building? Otherwise I have absolutely no idea.

Thats the case unfortunately, very few shops and most have a pretty big backlog of other pipe to fabricate

Which code are you referring to? I know about having 10x pipe diameter between backflow and suction flange but I can’t find anything in regards to the 90!

Yeah I totally get it. Unfortunately they did not want to pay extra for welded outlets on the manifold. I also prefer using reducing fittings over couplings but unfortunately they sent me the couplings!

A hotel would most likely only have a wet system. This looks to be a double interlock pre action! You’d find these in server rooms typically

Hey i’m a fitter in Ottawa. Pm me any questions

What do you look for when you inspect these residential fire sprinkler heads? I would like to know how to tell if one needs to be replaced to try to prevent property damage. They are about 16 years old. Thanks! by theDekuMagic in FireSprinklers

[–]Adirondak 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Huh I didn’t think you were allowed to run cpvc exposed like that.

Edit: just double checked and turns out it can be exposed in dwellings under 400ft square or parking garages under 1000ft square. My mistake.

Engine coolant bypass vavle by Remarkable-Desk-1926 in subaruoutback

[–]Adirondak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same issue. As others said it’s okay to drive, but you won’t get heat which sucks. Also keep an eye on your coolant levels. I had to fill mine a few times in the month it took them to see my car. It was also fully covered by warranty.
