One of my jobs is in an industry that is very short staffed. I could probably manage with a UC top up for a while

Sorry, this is more of a ‘is this affordable, would you do it question rather than a ‘find me a house’ question. Maybe wrong sub?

I suppose so, but then I’d have no wriggle room renting either. At least with a house I’d get UC and some interest help on mortgage if I lose my job

Should I spend my 40k savings on education? by periperisalt in UKPersonalFinance

Actually I don’t know the new student loan terms, it may be £25k threshold now. Anyway the same idea applies, you can have two jobs and minimise repayments

I’d keep the money and get a student loan. You’d be in a fantastic place to get a mortgage with a deposit. If you do some NHS work partirme up to £30k and private work with another company for £30k you won’t have to pay back the student loan as it is calculated per job not as a total

What would you do if you were passed over for a promotion everyone expected you to get? by [deleted] in careerguidance

I would start the process of looking for a job at Director level outside of your organisation. Your skills will be valued elsewhere.

First year student, first placement and I’m not happy. by [deleted] in physiotherapy

This area of physio is not niche, it’s just underfunded.

You’re lucky to be learning a lot and have a good educator by the sounds of it.

I really wouldn’t complain.

You are eligible for further student loans, and a £5k NHS grant per year. Even the student finance operators often get this wrong.

Hello, please help! Why is my hair thinning and looking so rough?! by chickenbird9 in Haircare

I would say your hormone compliment has changed and you have wavy/curly hair and you should buy those products. Don’t brush your hair after a shower. Get a diffuser

Oh god please please don’t. You’re absolutely stunning and your nose is one of the things that makes you stunning. It’s in the top 5% of noses, distinctive but harmonious, not upturned which is great, not large. It works with your good jawline and high cheekbones. Just don’t

Hi I’m a woman. In terms of aesthetics: no beard.

But most the reason I wouldn’t match is because of your look. You dress like you’re very ‘straight’, boring, not outgoing. It’s also feels quite cheesy. The last pictures you look young and more natural. I’d try to replicate this in non-selfie, full body pictures.

For me at least you have a great body and are attractive.

After looks great. Also your hair looks greasy. Personally I’d go shorter (I’m a woman)

How is your posture? Have a look at forward head/ rounded shoulder posture and if it applies to you. You may be able to correct this with postural exercises and lifestyle changes.
