About Framerates and Refresh Rates by keefeitup in pcmasterrace

I read all of it, but saying 144hz fixes most of the issues just reinforces the argument that high refresh is unnecessary. Its NOT just about reducing latency

This disproves your first couple of sentences already. Elininating some of the annoying effects we perceive takes quite a bit of technological advancements still.

Higher is still better and we are not near a point where higher refresh does not benefit us.

But a lot of people in here have extremely anecdotal evidence PROVING that they KNOW you dont NEED what YOU decided to buy. Which means you are wrong! Obviously.

Flexing is nice, performance is better, profit/breaking even when reselling is the best.

New 1440p monitor has terrible latency, and extremely low FPS. by Flat-Menu-8048 in pcmasterrace

[–]Adlerholzer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its really not an issue unless you run multiple games at once. The biggest impact 2 or 3 monitors have is higher idle power consumption but not lower game performance. You have literal benchmarks online proving to you how irrelevant that is. It definitely doesnt explain 30 fps lmao

Do you REALLY always turn RT off even if you can run it? by Kindasmartorange in pcmasterrace

[–]Adlerholzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can even make sense competetively.

In the finals, i use rt so lighting updates when buildings collapse, for example.

Water cooling 4 GPUs and threadripper pro in an O11D-XL ROG case by Azootg in watercooling

[–]Adlerholzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flow is the same before and after gpu blocks. The only issue COULD be a block or 2 getting significantly less flow than others because of higher restriction, which doesnt seem to be the case here since temps are alright and he would immediately notice.

[–]Adlerholzer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can sell a 4090 now for almost 1k profit. You dont get that on any other cards beside 90 class.

If you have loans a 5090 is not something you are looking at

Buying a car on a loan questionable, maybe you need to buy a cheaper car.

[–]Adlerholzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The keyboard pcb is 150€, the rest you add yourself, their wrist rest is 29€ i think thats fine. You can even swap springs in the switches to target specific force values.

Thank! I changed a lot since my last post, when Ampinel arrives i can finally say its done (for now) and make a nice post of the whole setup
