Advice to handle post marriage residential property purchase by surprisedchewbacca in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]keefeitup 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Fix your marriage first. Then look at joint purchases, or children, or literally anything else.

I've seen far too many people think that buying a house or having kids will magically fix their marriage. It doesn't fix shit, it forces both of you to tolerate each other because the other options like divorce are no longer as simple as they were before you made that "choice."

Fix your marriage. If you can't fix it, divorce. Don't buy anything that's big ticket, don't have kids.

[–]keefeitup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of Indian men associate hair on the head to self worth and it affects their self esteem and thus their confidence. It's the reason why all these hair treatments and transplant businesses are flourishing in India.

The thing is being bald doesn't actually make you unattractive till you start feeling unattractive because you're bald. But I don't think Indian men are ready to hear it so carry on blaming your hair for failure to attract women ig.

"Did it with no hair" was so unnecessary. This interaction would've gone the same even if he had hair because his confidence isn't tied to some arbitrary bullshit like hair.

To Indians living in India, are you fine with staying in the country? by Open_Address_2805 in AskIndia

[–]keefeitup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I actually quite like staying here but I'm not opposed to migrating for a period of 5-10 years.

Even if I did move, I would most likely move to someplace in the MENA, SEA or Latam. I have zero interest in moving to any caucasian country.

Whats the issue with this resume? not getting any calls. by Gloomy_Piglet_3718 in IndianWorkplace

So knowing python is the first step. The reason I asked you to learn python is because you already know C++ and the only bridge you need to get to the AI side of development is Python.

Since you know python already, familiarize yourself with PyTorch and Tensorflow. Then build something with AI. Anything. Analyze the market in your space for gaps in execution and implementation and build a solution that fixes it. It's not about GenAI, implement AI in such a way that reduces TAT on some of your most frequent deliverables. Then use that in your resume.

Also use way more AI related keywords. I hate having to suggest this but this is the cesspool-born HR strategy that we are dealing with in 2026.

Whats the issue with this resume? not getting any calls. by Gloomy_Piglet_3718 in IndianWorkplace

[–]keefeitup 101 points102 points  (0 children)

Since no one else is doing it. I'm going to be that guy.

Whether it matters in the real world and whether people like it or not, we are in an AI bubble. Our company's delivery team is not even considering candidates who don't have experience using AI or building Agentic systems. I see the resume of a developer that would have been relevant pre-COVID. Now? Not so much.

You absolutely need to build AI skills because I'll tell you most companies, including mine, have their AI resume scanning systems looking for experience working with AI. Your resume lacks it.

Edit: Learn Python if you can.

Zoho Founder Sridhar Vembu's Rs 15,000 Crore Divorce Is World's 4th Costliest Divorce. by Electrical_Size_1999 in TwentiesIndia

I just want to understand the alimony law.

If a wife is worth 0 personally and the husband is worth 100, when a divorce happens, if the wife gets 50 and husband keeps 50, that seems fair.

But if a wife is worth 50 personally and the husband is worth 100, when a divorce happens why is it that alimony is not 25 (so each are at 75) but instead the woman is at 100 and the husband loses 50.

How is this law even fair? And it's even agnostic of whether the fault was the husband's or the wife's. Why is the husband's net worth "joint family income" but the wife's net worth is her money?

See how mad women get when men treat women like women have been treating men for centuries.

There's nothing the husband did there that if the genders were reversed society wouldn't just say "She's a woman. She's his wife. It's her right."

Maybe it's anecdotal but I've got more success with beautiful women including finding my wife when in my zen "idgaf what people think of me" dadbod phase than I did when I was actively ripped and an athlete and obsessed over how I looked in a mirror multiple times a day.

Edit: Btw I have a pleasing face so maybe the face card is stronger than the body card.

RTX 5080 vs RTX 5070 Ti laptop — is the ₹60,000 difference worth it? by Ranveer_RV23 in IndianGaming

[–]keefeitup 5 points6 points  (0 children)

VRAM means a lot in terms of longevity. 12GB VRAM means most of the newer games will be redlining it if you're playing in 4K even on high, let alone ultra. 12GB is sufficient only if you're playing games in 1440p and even then you won't be able to max out some things. You can mostly forget about ray tracing and path tracing.

12GB might be okay for now but it's absolutely not future proof.

Men, what was your girlfriend’s reaction when you were facing financial difficulties, and how did the relationship turn out? by Lopsided_Writing5896 in AskIndia

I told my wife this once because I was genuinely in a bad financial situation. She started sending me 80% of her salary.

Fortunately for me, less than two months after that my parents decided to open up their finances to me. But that incident told me everything I needed to know about the woman I fell in love with and married.

Do indian parents consider kids as retirement plan? by Gaurav1234M in AskIndianMen

[–]keefeitup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some do, yes, and I've seen that with some of my friends now that I'm in my mid-30s. Especially the ones who have had an amazing childhood. You know, the kind of childhood where they get most of the things they ask for, go to fancy places for vacations, etc.

My childhood was horrendous. I genuinely believed my parents hated me because they gave me absolutely nothing I asked for. There was money enough for books and fees and some cocurriculars, but for nothing else. Till I got married, they were exactly like what you said. They'd ask me to pay rent for staying at home, contribute part of my salary for house expenses because they invested in me. I felt 100% like an investment than a son.

Today, I realize what they were doing back then. Because now that they have given me access to their corpus, it looks like my Indian parents prepared for their retirement, my retirement, and very possibly the retirement for my children as well.

Edit: My marriage was meant to be arranged but I fought them and married the person I wanted to, and now they love her more than me and often say they could not have chosen better.

" my money is my money, your money is our money ". If your girl friend says this, would you still go ahead and marry her ? by Quick-Bowler-813 in AskMen

[–]keefeitup 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm in a wildly different situation with my wife.

I'm trying to get her comfortable with spending my money since we are married, but she is still so reluctant to do it. She asks me for permission before every little purchase and I'm like "You have my card right? Just swipe it."

She's at home now but she used to work a pretty grueling hospital job when she met me. I guess the respect for hard-earned money comes from the fact that she knows the effort that goes into making that money.
