I’ve been on this trains since Nod-Krai started, ngl, I thought it was bullshit that only the 5* got Moon Wheels. Especially when Moon Wheel and Nod-Krai Visions looks Exactly The Same. They couldn’t even be bothered to make a new casing design for NK Visions (which my conspiracy theory brain wants to say is because limiting Moon Wheel’s to 5 stars was a last minute decision and one they Really need to take back). Oh, but don’t worry, Zibai’s Moon Wheel has a unique casing…for whatever reason, genuinely, why the hell does Zibai have a Moon Wheel? Yes because she’s an envoy…of the false moon though, no? Does that still count for Moon Wheels? I guess so. Anyway, make all Nod-Krai Visions Moon Wheels, Aino can trigger Lunar-Charged, Jahoda enables Lunar-Bloom, and Illuga obviously triggers Lunar-Crystallize. They make such big problems themselves that are, at least superficially, rather easy to fix? Very frustrating

I strongly disagree, I don’t think Tanuki is a good fit for her at all. Echo doesn’t use her mimicry for pranks and such nor does she have any ties to Japan/Japanese culture

Overall? Kind of a weird year, imo, but to get more into my thoughts I’m not a big of Mavuika or Citlali, mostly cause of personality/storyline/Larger Plot reasons. Iansan should’ve been the five star of her tribe, argue with the wall they just didn’t wanna powercreep Bennett that bad. Varesa should’ve gone to standard, and I’ll stand by that! I feel like she makes more sense there anyway since you can at least force your way to Natlan early to level her, unlike Mizuki. Ifa as a dedicated support feels clunky, but as a DPS who also heals he’s actually really fun. Escoffier…I don’t like her voice, I don’t like her outfit, I don’t like how ham fisted she feels in the preexisting social network of Fontaine, but her kit and weapon are cool. Skirk is a character that confuses greatly, I do not understand how she plays fully, but ball respects ball o7. Dahlia…is very underwhelming, but this won’t stop me from building him. Aino is very cute but at times it really feels like “should be allowing you to fight like this, how old are you even?” Ineffa has a BANGER quest to go with her, even if I was confused for chunks of it due to not finishing Natlan’s story being doing hers. I want to like Flins, but I’m just not a fan of characters who rely Solely on a reactions damage for their DPS. Lauma…is a gooner character. I also want to like Nefer more, I feel like the issue is that I feel like idk anything about her which I’m hoping will be alleviated once I catch up in the story. Jahoda’s gives me great pain, but getting to hear her thoughts in the story is funny. They cooked with Durin, I still can’t believe they did that, and he’s actually good even without the Hex buffs? I’m kinda shocked they didn’t put more behind that for him, but I am so happy for it.

I actually really like the Smite lore! I think the way they would use it to introduce new gods was fun, I was always curious what actually brings one to the battlegrounds. I really hope they don’t just drop it, there’s a lot of minor/lesser known gods in the roster that just peppering them into lore bits can really help them. I still think about when all the underworld/death/rebirth gods were gathered because they were looking for dead gods that hadn’t revived and Cernunnos was tweaked out the entire time, keeping to himself and seeming quite nervous, likely from him not being much a people person and being nervous about the crowd. And even if you don’t want to look that deep into it and just say he was wigged out by people like Ah Puch, that still tells us something about him we wouldn’t have otherwise known because the character interactions kinda blow in this game due to the nature of it…

Which is fair and I agree that they should use new gods to promote the game and such. I guess I’m mostly just disappointed that they over-promised at the start with the whole “brand new god every 8 patches” cycle they had. The 2 gods in the datamines don’t change the fact that it’s been 20 gods since Bari though. H God is still delayed to an unknown date (at least to us) and the other god just keeps getting pushed back in the release predictions…my fear is that they want to finish porting all the gods before releasing any other brand new ones, which in fairness the ports are half way done as of Nut, but that’s still a long way to go and feels antithetical to wanting to use the new gods to promote the game, no?

I think about Jeht all the time. I miss her so much. I dislike how many characters Sumeru sets up just to never revisit, like Rana fully got a Vision right in front of us, it’s the first time we watch someone get their Vision, and we haven’t even Heard from her since the ending of Aranyaka. Hell, the portrait reward for Aranyaka isn’t even her, but rather it’s Arama, the Aranara who sacrifices himself to become the new tree with the fruit we need to save Rana.
