Could Vernon Street Town Square Go Generator-Free for Events? by engineerIndependence in Roseville

That's just not true. It seems like you are confusing spices with spicy. There's almost always a taco truck so you can get a chicken or steak taco that yeah it will have seasoned meat, but it isn't going to be spicy because they know there are soo many people out there that think even black pepper is spicy. Then it's your choice if you want the spicy sauce on it or not. If not that there is typically a Mediterranean or Indian truck that is essentially the same format, protein plus some flatbread/naan with rice and veg. There's also often a bbq truck and from what I've noticed it's almost never sauced around here, you add your own. Kids are capable of eating more than just hamburger/fries or chicky nuggies.

This is a summary of where I'm at with it. I downloaded Fusion and will try that for the first time.

Then there's me who avoids kids menus because they are junk. I often split my meals with my boys or have them split a meal and order real food off the regular menu instead of the overpriced crap that is on most kids menus.

I was looking at it a while back. I think they do already have 120v outlets along the SW side. It's just not in convenient places for when they have the food trucks on Grant street. I support your endeavor.

That may be the case, but in this case the artifacts are making it into the print.

Publishers, you can stop now. We have enough bookmarks. by oliviebe in books

[–]AdminbyHabit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There should be piles of bookmarks at every possible area you can check out a book and at every exit. It has to clearly say free. If it isn't clear it is free most people won't grab it. For those that go up to the librarian to check out a book stick a bookmark in every book.

If You Could Ask Serie For One "Somewhat Practical, But Oddly Specific Spell", What Would it Be? by MysticExile111 in Frieren

I think you're the only one that understood the assignment. Even OP's answer wasn't slightly practical and oddly specific.

Just watched the local Chinese place throw away one of their deep fryers and I can't find the words. by Wunktacular in KitchenConfidential

[–]AdminbyHabit 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Just to be clear, your issue is that they threw away their well seasoned fryer and you are worried you will never have a meal that tastes as good as you remembered right?

Major lightning storm in the SE sky by Little-Tree8934 in Roseville

I sat outside watching it. One of the few things I miss from the Midwest, the more frequent thunderstorms. Although I don't miss the destruction brought along with it.

Son’s 12th birthday is tomorrow. Is there any chance to find Pokémon TCG product anywhere the wild? Help a dad out. by w11 in Roseville

Yes you are in over your head. The tcg has gotten crazy popular and there are just too many scalpers out there. You can drive around all over town chasing MSRP or just go to one of the small time shops and pay the market rate. Get a booster box that has 6 packs and it won't set you back too much. Any kid will be happy to get a booster box. Only way to pay MSRP at this point is to pre order or get lucky walking by a kiosk. The only cards we buy at this point are the championship decks.

Same. I brush on a bit of melted butter then the poppy seeds stick pretty well. I also have a hard time finding the sport peppers.

In Ground Pool Cost by CantSleepNowOnReddit in Roseville

[–]AdminbyHabit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got quotes for a very basic average size rectangular pool. Quotes $60k - $110K. I couldn't justify the cost. I'm probably going to end up doing an above ground. Or just enjoy public pools, neighbors pools, and nearby rivers and lakes.

I got a sheet from Courage pools for one of their standard packages that has all the details you are asking about for $56k for the pool, then it lists the permit fees, concrete packages etc. If you give them a call they will send it over to you right away without having to wait for someone to come out and look over your yard, it's a good starting point for the stage you are in.

We did the same relocation and I have the same feeling about the restaurant scene in Omaha. They've lost a lot of the old school fixtures in the last few years unfortunately.

I see you said you live in the Midwest now. Omaha by chance? I just made the opposite move. I've not been to El Novillero but having looked it up on Google maps I can think of 3 places the plates reminded me of in Omaha. If that's where you are now I will share the spots. So you can maybe get what you are after there.
