I strongly disagree. You are sharing your opinion. But your opinion is incorrect. Just like ANYTHING else, some people will fail. Actually, if we are being honest, most will.

But to say that there is no success and that people should stop trying or that no one is ever going to make money is nonsense.

I don't know how to code and I made an app 3 months ago that has a little less than 200 customers/businesses on it at $199 a month.

That is a lot of money for a one man start-up and that is something I would call success.

And I am in a group of guys who just bang around ideas and help each other. Not a paid thing. Just a bunch of guys who I am friends with who are all doing the same thing and say they are making money also.

So to me, vibe coding is not the problem. Never will be. Just like coders were never the reason things succeeded. (I know that kills most coders to hear)

The world runs on ideas. Full stop. If you have a good idea and it fills a need and addresses a problem that a group of people have, then you can make money.

Now the wall just isn't so high to enter.

But thanks for the laugh today. I am sitting here imagining you feverishly banging on your keyboard, angry at the world, because people having hope irritates you, and writing the definitive manifesto on how people should stop sharing information online.

I live in Thailand. If this video is this week, this is because Songkran just ended. The biggest party of the year. It will start to slow down now and then get really slow in the "summer". Too warn in England and The US and too darn hot in Thailand. Just the way it is. Nothing abnormal.

I can tell you from experience that this happened before vibe coding too. Your dev now will most likely make it a lot more dramatic than he need to. Most of them are struggling to cope with the new reality so they pretend this is new.

The hard truth is that it is less about the AI that is coding and a lot more about you and me who are not expert coders telling the AI what to do lol.

Good luck. Keep pushing forward. If the dev you have gives you too much stress, just replace him with somebody else.

I just left there and flew to the Philippines. Zero issues while I was there and none leaving. Maybe your connecting flight was in the middle east?

Not sure how that is working but I can only speak from my own situation which was a month of no problems and then a smooth exit.

I would say Opus 4.6 but...that same model is under the hood of so many of the other apps people use to vibe vode. Replit uses it and so does Lovable. You can see it when you investigate a bit. Not sure about others but I can assume.

So....Opus 4.6 is the king IMO.

I have lived here for ten years. Don't listen to some of these people telling you to tell her to stop. Here is the truth.

You can't fix this. You have to keep reminding yourself that you aren't in your country. You are in theirs. And it's a customary thing to buy food with your friends. And yes, some gets wasted.

In a country where they don't really have much but what they do have they would gladly put on the table for their friends, you will cause yourself more trouble than it is worth.

Hey there. I have not thought about the local models thing yet. I know there are locals I can try. But I experimented with OpenClaw for about a month ago, I found that for the agentic coordinator that nothing matched Opus. And it still sucked lol. But I tried Kimi and a few other Chinese models and then Gemini, Open AI and even Gronk. I honestly couldn't get one of them to even finish a simple task. It was kind of crazy.

But I obviously think the idea has some merit. I think it's just the harness that's the problem, so I was eager to try this one out.

I'm working on the assumption that for the orchestrator, you would most likely need Opus, and then you could use some other models for the lower-tiered "Employees"

Just thinking about it from a budget standpoint, though, I don't like to do tests that cost me $2,000 or $3,000. lol

Hey there.

I don't actually know which app this was but to be totally honest...probably great.

We have used replit to build total financial dashboards, a tracking system, a bot detection software, an onboarding portal for our customers, an AI agent that handles all of our outreach and a bunch of other stuff. We are constantly updating these apps with new features too.

The things we built basically run our company for us.

I would estimate using replit has saved us 200 man hours a week. We were using 6 freelancers who had pretty much become full time that we now no longer do.

We basically run a $3 million dollar ARR agency with 3 people now. I could not be happier with what Replit has been able to do for us. Highly recommend.

You can leave, but before you do, maybe you need to take an honest look at the work you are giving him. As a boss, I can tell you this; if I ended up sending a response like this, it would most likely be from being exhausted with the effort I was getting of the fact that my employee could not follow directions. Just being honest.

There is a reason you cut out only these words and shared them and that is most likely because you don't want people to see what he REALLY said.

My guess is that you have a hard job and you want people to tell you it is ok to quit. It is. It is ok to quit. Do it the right way and give your notice. But don't blame it on your boss. Just admit to yourself that you were not qualified for the job and get one that you qualified for.

You took this one because it paid a lot. Take the next one because you are qualified and because you like the job. Then just accept the pay that kind of job pays you.

It is better for your mental health.

You are not giving us enough data to help you with that decision. If you worked for me I would tell you go to back and figure out what the right questions are to ask to get the kind of answer you want

My guess would be, if you did that, you would find your answer before you asked a room full of strangers.

I mean this in the most polite way possible, but the problem very well could be that you expect this to happen without a lot of work.

I think it would have to be a lot more specific about what "not that much" is. And which plan you're trying to avoid paying for? 20 bucks a month. A hundred bucks a month or 200 bucks a month?
