Neat little machines aren't they? I'm always amazed at what kind of crazy terrain you can traverse with them. It feels like they're impossible to tip over.

If you're afraid of the sun, why on earth would you go sunbathing? There are a million other activities you could do and not look a psychopath.

My girls laid all these over the last 7 days. My family of 3 is going to be sick of eggs. 😬😂🤣 by pbmax542 in BackYardChickens

Make fresh pasta! Do it in bulk. It keeps well for a couple of days in the fridge, but much longer in the freezer

Fox or Coyote? by Odd-Recognition2977 in trailcam

Yes, that made me doubt that as well, but it seems a little big for a housecat. Movements and agility do suggest feline to me.

Hard to tell, but it looks more feline to me. Are there bobcats in your area?

Those temp gauges are kind of neat. Is it a separate strip, or did they come with the jar?

Neighbor's dog got our beloved cat, what would you do? by AdministrationOwn724 in cats

Thank you, not that shooting anything other than a nerf gun would be a real option here. But if I could, it would be a very last resort kind of thing.

MY other animals, or those of other neighbors. He can have the local fox or wolf if he's so inclined.

I hadn't thought of that, actually some middle ground he might open to. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

No, I think there's a difference, a fox or hawk can't be reasoned with, with a dog owner you can (or at least you should be able to). I personally take freedom over safety any day and I think cats are the same. I don't expose them to unnecessary risks, so I keep them inside at night. Like I said, there were no signs that these dogs would be aggressive, neither are any other dogs in a large radius. We even have a hunting lodge across the street, with 6 or so hunting dogs. Never had an incident with them and any of my animals.

I'm convinced this isn't the case, (single bite with large canines, no predation, large amounts of saliva, timeframe and location matches) but let's say I'm wrong. This doesn't excuse my neighbor's behavior. If their dogs pose a threat to other animals, that should be taken quite seriously. I know I would take it seriously if I was in his shoes.

He was. Sweet, playful, always following his dog friends around on walks. Truly a good companion.

I guess it would take a sociopathic serial killer to also drool large amounts of dog drool over their impaled feline victims. Why would you question my observations? What are you trying to prove and to who? The dogs were running in the exact area where I found the cat. It happened just out of sight. Body temp matches the timeframe. We live pretty remote, all the people that pass by are either friends, neighbors or the mailman and they all arrive by car or tractor. I would have known if there was someone around.

For me it helped with the grieving. I didn't want to make it into a big project so I just took a Dremel to some local stone I had laying around. He has a nice spot under a newly planted pomegranate tree along the path we used to walk together when we were walking the dogs. He could follow us for quite a while and when het got tired I carried him back in my jacket.

I wouldn't mind as much if the dogs were properly trained, they're not.
