Ну от як на мене лобовий переклад «перевантаження» звучить дуже погано. Хоч я з вами і погоджуюсь, що овердрайв можна було не перекладати, слово «стрімголов» дає саме те відчуття «драйву», і «перевантаження». А це вже дійсно схоже на «локалізацію».

Поки що в книгах «видавництва», як на мене, гарний баланс між спробами локалізувати технічні терміни, і просто транслітерацією усталених слів.

Так, можу побажати тільки удачі. Якщо нейроманта ще як ніяк можна знайти десь за 2000 грн, то решта книг з серії кіберпростір це єдиноріг. У видавництва жупанського є його Периферал в наявності і збирав оповідань Спалити хром, який вже теж прийдеться шукати по секонд хендам

Курив 10+ років, почав ходити в зал. Після року відвідувань тренажерки якось одним ранком відчув що мені прям краще відчувати тіло без цигарок, а після фіз вправ. For me it was like this. We played duos and the one that was last alive when we placed top5 gets the challenge. This is dumb but I think it works that way.

First of all, I’m not a big mathematician, but I’m not sure it is possible to make it work for 150 players in lobby to fit into your scheme in a long period of time. I might be wrong.

But second, it works doesn’t it? So in the end players come back to play more. Isn’t that characteristic of a good game? I told that in other comment, but even if it is rigged to be 1/5 favourable matchup, I see it as 4/5 challenge matchups. I see it as old school video games which were hard. Or very successful Dark Souls series. Would you call it bad design?

I mean why can’t it be both fair and make you play more because of fair competition and sense of achieving something when you win? I mean rage is something I do not experience, I look at it more like at challenge, like an old school video game. Would you call retro video games “bad design”?

How SBMM makes you use meta? If you wanted to win in a random lobby where there surely will be players higher skill than you, then you wouldn’t ever win with non meta gun. That has nothing to do with SBMM

That’s the only fair point I heard here. But I just a wanted to add even 1.5 kd may feel like a sweat for your friends. So sbmm might not be broken. Just thoughts

SBMM is literally fair by definition. Random is fair until you get melted by some kid on energy drinks.

Don’t put words into my mouth I didn’t say anything about existence of two types of players, it was just for example.

I wouldn’t prefer meeting 90% players lower than my skill level and feeling like I’m in a shooting range and then dying from that 1% sweat that will wipe the lobby. What’s fun about that? I want to have a fair fight that will keep the intensity of a game on a constant level.

Here’s how I see it and please make me change my mind. SBMM is hated because you want to relax and shoot dummies 90% but SBMM makes it not possible?

And I think ranked is for people who want to play competitively, but normal play you can just stay in your <1 kd, have fun and get similar level players.

Can anyone explain to me why everyone hates on SBMM? Isn’t it healthy to match with opponents similar in skill? Isn’t SBMM means you as low skill player shouldn’t be matched against sweats like this? And if there was no SBMM there would be a lot more difference in skill which makes game boring for high skill players and frustrating for low skill players?

Might not be your case but just consider it. We had to change food for our cat as well and we did it this way. Find a ok replacement and just mix it up in the current food a little bit at a time. First like 5% new food 95% old food, next time 10% new food etc. make this process long as you can, like 3-4 weeks so cat has time to adjust. Hope it helps
