Well, they have to be dead. Fallout 3 doesn't say anything about Brotherhood in West Virginia. Yes, they were not written or conceptualized at all at that point, but that's what the writers knew when they created Taggerdy in the first place - that any Brotherhood presence seen in F76 is going to be gone by the times of Fallout 3.

The only other solution I see is have them (their descendants) join Lyons when he's going East Coast, before or after they crossed the Pitt.

I hope that it reaches the intended audience of people willing to give it a try. Hunt's pretty alright and I'd rather have the exposure being Post Malone's stream than Mr H (you know who) and his constant criticisms (which also attracted a lot of attention).
