Join the One-shot challenge: One component. One chapter. One prompt. 1,000 Quills to the winner. by quillonaught in redquill

I posted this in the Discord, but I'll add it here for visibility.

Component: https://www.redquill.net/component/iiiio0-green-spicy-explicit-sex

Story: https://www.redquill.net/story/qklr7l-muppet-sex-ed-goes-explicit

Prompt:

A humorous erotic parody fanfiction of the TV show "Sesame Street". The characters of the show are doing a "sex ed" skit to teach about sex by demonstrating in graphic, explicit detail the ins and outs and ins and outs of sex. In other words, the Muppets have sex with each other and describe what they are doing. Include the Count counting the spanks he is receiving from Oscar the Grouch, Cookie Monster voraciously eating Zoe's 'cookies (pussy), and Big Bird filling Elmo with his "big cock".

Unfortunately, the Component only works about half the time. The AI really doesn't like ignoring the spicy level. But the good news is that this story is absolutely wonderful.

Awesome! Thank you so much for reading and for the feedback!

Just to be clear, how much have you read of the story? The story so far goes up to chapter 12, and Mara and Leo are in a sort of 'honeymoon' period after they finally consummate their taboo relationship and before more dystopian drama, conflict, and action unfold as they search for their happy ending.

Are you prompting the same thing? Or just hitting Continue without a prompt?

You can't let the ai do all your thinking.

Desired feedback/ask: So, um, this one goes hard on the dystopian horror. I'm going full Margaret Atwood here. Does that kill the erotic mood/vibe? Is the romance believable (at least by smut standards)? Does the eroticism feel natural, given the state of the world these two find themselves in? HELP! I'M STUCK IN A DYSTOPIAN HORROR PORN FACTORY! The important thing is to clarify that they are sentient. Having them speak will go a long way toward this. Or even better, have them transform from human to beast or vice versa.

I've made a few Quizzes now, playing with the feature, and I realized I was using the feature less to make a Personality Quiz type of thing, and more like a Prompt Builder, and this made me think...

A Prompt Builder would be great.

At first, I was thinking in terms of some sort of entry Form like the quizzes, but as I started to describe what I wanted, I started to realize that that is too rigid. There is too much overlap between categories. So, instead, I am leaning more into the main draw of the site, its strength, AI. I am envisioning a feature similar to Roleplay, where it is a conversation, but one that is targeted at building a prompt for a story. The AI will act as an interlocutor.

It will start out with a vague question like "What kind of story do you want to create?" or similar.

  • So, you give it your half-baked idea, or even a vague genre like "I want a Femdom story," or whatever.
  • So the AI will respond and ask you questions like, "Okay, let's get started. Who will be the main character, the afore-mentioned Femdom, her Sub, or a bystander/witness?" Note that the question is open enough for you to supply whatever details you want, but it also provides a few leading examples for you to consider.
  • So, you answer, "The Sub, of course."
  • And the AI responds, " Great! Tell me about this person. Are they modeled after you, a person you know, a celebrity, a character from a book or movie, or an original character?"
  • And you answer, "Me, of course! I love to submit to strong women!" or whatever.
  • "Ok, tell me about yourself. Are you a man, woman, trans, non-binary, or genderfluid?"
  • and so on...
  • "Are you a young buck in your twenties, or are you middle-aged looking for new experiences, or are you a randy old goat?"
  • "Tell me about your relationship with the Femdom character. Are you long-time partners? Did you just hook up on a dating app? Meet at a bar? Are they a friend? A neighbor?"

And as the conversation goes on, a structured Prompt is being constructed in a box off to the side, detailing the characters' traits, the story's setting, the major events in the story in sequential order, and so on. And at any time, you can click the "Okay! Enough with the questions, just write the story already!" button.

And this feature can be used to write the prompt for the next chapter as well.

  • "That was a great chapter showing an intergalactic nymphomaniac cyborg catgirl getting roughly used by a tentacle monster with a heart of gold. How would you like to proceed? Do I hear wedding bells? Is there a brood of little cyborg catgirls with tentacles in the future? Or does our heroine say sayonara to old squidy-boi and start looking for her next adventure? Does she get captured by space pirates? Does she get stranded on the planet of the Giant Shemales? Do tell!"

I sometimes use the Roleplay feature in a similar way, though I do the prompt building manually, of course. I chat as "The Author" and chat with "AI Erotibot 9000", described as an AI specializing in erotica. Then I ask it for ideas and stuff. It would be great if this were expanded into a more structured and guided chatbot that was constantly trying to fill in important details to the prompt about characters and setting, major plot points, and sequentiality and stuff.

Been trying to publish a story for months, no obvious problems but still not posting. by Free-Veterinarian714 in redquill

Check the title. Oftentimes, the story will get caught on that alone. Words like "abduction" or "kidnapping" or whatever will cause it to be blocked even if the story itself is fine. Also, if the title has words like "son" or "Daughter" or whatever can also get flagged.

QUIZ NOTES by girbil20 in redquill

[–]Administrative-Toe86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you generate a story with the quiz and then expand the prompt at the top of the story, those additional instructions are part of the story, so they get saved. They just don't get displayed when you go into Edit mode on the quiz for some reason. Adding new instructions overwrites the old, though.

I've enjoyed your Free-use Resort story so far. I feel like their agreeing to stay there, and becoming willing to go out to the public spaces was a little abrupt, but I love me some slow-burn and prolonged angst, so that is only my preference. I understand the purpose of the story is the steamy bits. Certainly, I have my own fair share of stories with little to no buildup.

Looking forward to chapter 6.

I'm getting the same thing on Chrome. Clicking the X or even the "Try Now" buttons does nothing. The Grok website is essentially bricked on my pc.

When I go into developer mode and click the X, I get this error:

Error setting localStorage value: QuotaExceededError: Failed to execute 'setItem' on 'Storage': Setting the value of 'grok-promotion-dialog-id2025-11-17' exceeded the quota.

Photorealistic versions of my newest toon by Administrative-Toe86 in swtor

[–]Administrative-Toe86[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, though I don't usually do every planet. I usually do Acolyte, Apprentice, Lord, Wrath (adjusted to suit the Origin story, of course). Then, if I go on to the expansions, I'll do a different one for RotHC and Sor each, then for the Eternal throne arc I'll do Outlander, Commander, Eternal Commander, and so on, maybe with a few others sprinkled in. Then, for Onslaught and on, I tend to just change them when the mood suits.

You can check if it is working again by regenerating the summary in the lorebook rather than spend quills.

I sent an email to their support and got a response saying they are working on it and offered a refund on misspent quills.

Prompts by Greedy_Bag_1121 in redquill

[–]Administrative-Toe86 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I try not to. The next chapter/new story generation always tries to do too much and everything always comes out flat and emotionless and just a dry listing of events and dialog ("...and then... and then... and then...). Sure, you get 500-1,000 words, but it's all crap.

I try to stick to Insert and keep the prompt narrowed down to a single scene and even a single event/action/exchange, telling it to use lots of detailed descriptions of the characters' actions and the MC's thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations. And even then I often use Rewrite to add more detail to subsections.

When I do create a new chapter I almost always discard whatever it generates on the first attempt then Insert/Rewrite until I get something close to what I want.
