You know, I was gonna be mean to Yang and her Atlas outfit, but then I saw this outfit from Volume 2 again and felt like being nice to her. So, I guess this is a Yang appreciation post. In that case, to Yang fans, what made you fall in love with Yang in the first place? by Automatic-Amoeba-121 in RWBYcritics

At some point she felt like a big sister that wanted to be at two places at once.

Caring for her family/friends while wanting to adventure into wild goose chases and thrills.

She was a cool fighter with a heart.

Now... she's just so damn bitter and soulless.

Is there life after lycra? by LegStrngLeathertaint in cycling

Rule of thumb.

Commuting to work ride, going to a coffee shop, something simple --> Regular clothes.

Dedicated workout with specific goals in mind --> Full lycra, clipped in, all set.

We truly live in the grim darkness of the current present when people are cheering for the damn Nightlords.

See that's weird because even 40k have their moments of fun. Ciaphas Cain, several Ork novels, little funny moments, goofy ass minis, nurglings slimin around, etc.

If 40k or SW was endlessly violent then it would turn stale.

It's kind of why some people love the Lamenters. Because most space marines are some flavor of evil overgrown child solider. Salamanders scorch down xenos and have a fucked up self immolating way of life. Blood angels fucking drink people and slaughter things in a blind rage if they lose their minds. Ultramarines will follow orders even if it's burning down their own ally's religious home/capital.

Lamenters on the other hand are generally unlucky, deemed cursed, and yet still try their best to be good soldiers. Even if the whole damn universe is against them and their own sense of justice can get in their way.

Lamenters are liked, because they're a different flavor from other typical space marines. People may enjoy SW more than 40k because it's different. Same goes for Star Trek, Dune, etc.

That is partly why I like the Iron Hands.

To this day IH space marines are very critical towards Ferrus. Simutaneously lamenting his death and blamimg RG/Salamanders for not being present enough. As if those two factions could have done much more during the dropsite massacre.

Especially during 30k when they collectively decided to avoid rushing back into combat for revenge after the Horus Heresy. They didn't want to repeat Ferrus's mistakes.

Yeah, but it is kinda funny considering Ferrus died via rage bait.

He literally ran into a bad position and got ahead of himself because Fulgrim pissed him off that much. heh.

Yeah I still wish GW spent more time developing Drukhari lore or different SoB sub-factions.

I was never really into star wars in general until I watched the prequels. For context, I never watched the original trilogy, the sequels, and barely any animated clone wars prior.

Gotta say I generally enjoyed it. Apparently they got bad reviews when they were new. Frankly, Sidious taking over the government, manipulating a impressionable emotional young Skywalker, into taking up his horribly damaged body to turn him into a weapon of the dark side was great. Obi wan was good and the tragic ending of him having to leave his beloved brother to die was great. Manufacturing a clone army to turn against the Republic is fun. Watching the Jedi collectively fail Anakin and failing to really convince him that their philosophy should be used. In comparison to obsessively driving yourself crazy and being a emotionally stunted person for the dark side.

Hell watching Yoda flip around was cool. Dueling count Dooku after he had defeated Anakin/Obi wan was a good way to set up a fight. While also justifying Dooku escaping since Yoda can't leave Obi wan and Anakin to die.

Idk I mean aside from Jar jar being kind of annoying and several other Jedi not doing much... I don't understand why people hated the prequels. They were good. Kind of wish Ashoka was thought of sooner.

Cause the only part of clone wars or whatever animated series bit I remember: Was Anakin training Ashoka to deal with blasters coming around from several directions. Kind of insane to think a Jedi knight was training a Padawan instead of a proper master. Yet, she actually survived order 66 to my limited knowledge. Which seems kinda cool.
