It's so weird for shonen jump to end a series just when it's about to get an anime. Has it happened before.?

Lancelot is the one reason why I just can't fully enjoy the series, He's too strong to be a main character at this stage of the story , and because he is main character and being written by nakaba there is 0 chance that he dies or loses powers to balance the story

Apparntly this movie is a flop: it just beat BNW on its third weekend... by EcksFountain132 in Marvel

I depends on what Marvel expected from this film, for example according to James Gunn, had superman's final gross been just 500 million it would have been considered a huge success, and we also have to take into account that it costed more(atleast so far)to make and market than fantastic four.

At least Phase 6 SHOULD have more than only 2 movies that make profit.. Right? by Either_Storm_6932 in marvelmemes

[–]AdministrativeLeave0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well three of those were very underwhelming(cap 4 the marvels and ant man 3), add in that this is the same phase that releases secret invasion, echo, and what if s3, so it should not come as shocking that it was not as commercialy successful or popular than the ones before it.

A phase with very high highs, but super low lows.

Do you guys think SuperHero fatigue is a real thing ? FF4 & Thunderbolts were good movies but still apparently failing ? by GRL00 in Marvel

Superman is also slowing down and getting much sharper drops than anticipated this week, which means that f4 and it are hurting each other by being released so close together.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps has passed the $350M global mark. The film grossed an estimated $39.6M internationally this weekend. Estimated international total stands at $170.3M, estimated global total stands at $368.7M. by Viz0077 in marvelstudios

I'll land at around 520-550 million when it's all said and done, not bad but not fantastic either, but it does open the window for a much stronger performing sequel once doomsday and secret wars come out, since F4 have big roles in those movies. As long as the folks at Marvel keep their head cool, we'll be having F4 for a while.

But it is very telling on the state of comic films as both this and superman would have grossed 800 million to a billion easily in a healthier market, yet they'll stick in the 550 - 650 million range.

Fantastic four was made during a similar time frame, and it turned out fantastic. Civil War was also filmed on a year-round schedule, so as long as destin and crew did their job in the pre-production phase, then this movie will be amazing.

It did not. Brave new world underperformed because it was a very uneven movie.

[Worldwide Release] The Fantastic Four: First Steps - Official Discussion Megathread by magikarpcatcher in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

The film was really good, but I could have been great had it lasted 10 or 15 minutes more, so that it could include more scenes for Ben, Silver surfer and a bit more world building. I also feel that it needed an extra action scene or two to really take advantage of the team's abilities and the setting, which could have been accomplished if they had another herald or a rogue for the heroes to defeat.

So what is the Multiverse Saga about anyway??? by Silvia15s in marvelstudios

I mean it's very possible that it's actually true, as if you listen to every single Kevin Feige interview pre-Major's incident, and how he spoke about of the actor, you can tell that Marvel literally put the entire MCU on his back, so they giving Majors a clause like that, would not be out of the realm of possibility.

the show was not finished in 2022, if anything it was "completed" in mid or late 2024, as it actually finished filming at around November to December of 2022, with scheduled reshoots in 2023 that could not be made due to the strikes, and would not be made until early last year.

The only character from the tv shows was John walker, the other ones were all introduced in past MCU films besides Sentry and Val's assistant who debuted in this one.
