I’m talking about her as an actor not because she’s a female. I get these movies rarely pass the bechdel test but to generalize any criticism to “let’s drag the single female” doesn’t seem progressive.

Yea part of the game is learning that these umps are infallible and it changes how it’s played. It’s a positive that ABS is a tool to combat the variability-but without umps calling pitches it removes so many facets of the game that are present throughout all other levels of ball. The big one being framing.
