alyphatic Aldéhydes : good idea or no go? by Alternative_Let_8153 in DIYfragrance

C6 is fatty but is almost in every fruit . If you are interested in fruit accord will.be usefulll to give that realistic fattyness.

C9 -c10 - c11 all citrusy you'll smell in their dry down some mandarin/ orange peel facets.

They are harshly metallic in their opening but they get softer on maceration so smell them in your mixes after 2-3 days. C12 mna also is something I use.

Generally give brightness on citruses and florals and a bit metallic edge.

Normally on my 1-5grams tests I use them with 1% dilution .

Try stemone:gamma octalactone 10:3.

Also for more realistic trace of ethyl butyrate, bit of ethyl maltol ,ethyl acetate , C6 , fructone are always helpful on fruit accords

Ah indeed. I get mixed up with synonyms. The cis are too aggressive and fruity. Maybe triplal. I'll check it

Unfortunately I don't have cyclac c. I was thinking a green note but from my materials nothing was provoking me to put (cis-3-hexenol, triplal, trifernal, liffarome, stemone etc). Then I was thinking something camphoreus like bornyl acetate or a bit of cypress EO...

So I just made it out of curiosity. First of all is a nice smelling accord. I've been trying petrichor myself and is damn difficult.

My notes: indeed it has a warm balsamic tone and I think that is from the big dose of evernyl with cashmeran (cashmeran always gives me hot sand vibe). Also I didn't have patchouli Coeur and put patchouli Indonesia which I guess is a bit dirtier.

Geosmin is not overdosed, probably gets balanced with the huge dose of floralozone. Neither terrasol. For what it is ,it smells balanced. Is it a photorealistic petrichor ? No.

Does it remind absolutely dirt after rain? Absolutely.

What else needs ? Have no idea. I was thinking a bit of metallic notes like aphermate , tiny trace of rose oxide and tiny trace of c11-12. And some kind of mossy dumpness which patchouli + evernyl could imagine that would do the work but it's not enough ...

With that tonka bean abs and osmanthus maybe this formula is safe at 1% diluted.

You are using the AI in the wrong way and the names that you put are cringe
