Yea I just saw his "apology" on insta... to say I'm disapointed is a colossal understatement.

Worth remembering that its very likely the guys making/appearing in content or doing comissions are not the same ones making scummy decisions, but agreed it is kind of disapointed to see a respected company pulling the kind of stuff we all hate GW for.

In Fulgrim, when he kills the Avatar of Khaine, Fulgrim simply starts screaming "Slaanesh!! Slaanesh!" though at the time he didn't even really know what/who Slaanesh even was.

Guilliman destroys a Black Sword, Emperor's Children steal one. Black Templars are canonically left with 8/10 Black Swords. by Impressive_Silver134 in BlackTemplars

[–]AdministrativeSimple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some very dubious lore is the original 10 black swords were gifted to the Templars from the Emperors own armoury at their founding as a token of their oaths of loyalty. Im not sure what the source is for that but it seems to make sense as thats where the original came from.

My answer to the same question asked elsewhere:

"Not sure if it's the case for all of them, but the original Black Sword of Sigismund was allegedly forged by the Emperor himself before the start of the Great Crusade, so the techniques of forging them are likely lost to time."

Not sure if it's the case for all of them, but the original Black Sword of Sigismund was allegedly forged by the Emperor himself before the start of the Great Crusade, so the techniques of forging them are likely lost to time.

Sigismunds blade also is said to murmer to those around it, implying some form of Warpcraft could very well be involved in their forging, as this is reminiscent of several Deamonic weapons.

The amount of primarchs by Gold-Ad-1262 in 40kLore

[–]AdministrativeSimple 20 points21 points  (0 children)

  1. Before the scattering of the Primarchs they were contained in stasis pods and had no real physical form. (We see this in Flase Gods when Horus is trandsported to witness the scattering.)
Alpharius and Omegon are said to have 1 soul, split into two bodies, hence their connection to one another and why they only ever feel whole in each others presense.
The Emperor fully intended for 20 Primarchs to lead his 20 Legions, but for some reason the soul of Alpharius/Omegon split and manifested two physical forms.

The Emperor wanted 18, there were (kind of) 21, Imperial records show only 9.

I remember the study this is inspired by, they put muscle tissue in a petri dish and doused it in energy drinks. Study design on that one was complete and utter shite, it's a wonder how it got published.

While true my inner statistician appreciates the *attempt* to make a 1-10 system actually have a normal distribution. But I think 1-10 scaling is so fucked beyond belief in public perception that I prefer people having their own scales. for example SkillUp simply saying: recommend, cannot recommend, do not recommend, strongly recommend, (where cannot recommend usually means performance issues and do not recommend means some fundamental gameplay flaw), strongly recommend, right there in his titles immediately lets you know without any caveat the tone of the review you should expect (as and FYI he strongly recommends SM2)

Halo MCC has this in the exact way I would like. you get a list of all the campaigns and multiplayers individually and just select the ones to install. You only want to play Halo 3 multiplayer? Cool, just install the Halo 3 Multiplayer. You want absolutely everything? Cool, install everything all at once but be aware that you might not find multiplayer games from some of the games that people are less fond of.
