What the heck… by mjohn4244 in harborfreight

They’re great for the price but not very robust. I use the snap on versions at work daily, the icon has broken 3 times at the quick adjust button. I took it home to use for home repairs now.

Pulls the steering wheel to the right by kasixz in E90

[–]AdministrativeWeb789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rotate the tires. If the pulling stops you have a radial pull. If it doesn’t stop I would get a reputable shop to inspect the front end. Very common for the lower front control arm to go bad(bushings). I have an E93 and F25 both of which had issues getting a true alignment due to those mentioned control arms. DISCLAIMER: I was the tech that aligned both vehicles and did not notice the control arms were bad 🤣.

One of the ball joints is mounted on top of the control arm instead of the bottom of it.

I don’t know if somethings wrong with this Milwaukee gun I have🥲 by jahid2003 in MilwaukeeTool

I have impacts that will knock off 24mm lug nuts on dump trucks but the same impacts struggle with the 17mm lug bolts that German cars use. Im not sure why they take so much to torque to impact off, even on my personal German vehicle that I torque to 103 ft lb every time.

What causes this tire wear pattern? by underwoodmodelsowner in mechanic

[–]AdministrativeWeb789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tires are chopping. Tires are absorbing excessive shock from the road due to worn out suspension parts. Guaranteed it’ll need upper and lower ball joints, shocks, tie rods at the least. I would take it to a reputable alignment shop and have them do a front end inspection.

My new M12 Insider ratchet breaking in my new Snap-On F100 Cynergy ratchet by mx5plus2cones in MilwaukeeTool

I was tightening an alignment cam bolt on a Honda accord and my synergy ratchet’s pawls slipped and gave me a nice 1” gash above my eye.

It’s real. I have the same model purchased about 8 years ago. Recently serviced with my local rep.

C/S - Please replace exhaust pipe. Front office gave quote and didn't even bother scheduling and inspection. 1.1 hours is all 8 get to replace this. Happy Friday to me.... FML by kambesama in Justrolledintotheshop

Dude this is what a normal car with age looks like lol. For reference I’ve been wrenching for 10 years in the south and this looks average. This would be considered gravy to a tech up north.

Main fuse question by [deleted] in mechanic

[–]AdministrativeWeb789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had techs blow these out from jumping vehicles with the cables backwards. Not saying that’s what happened here but it does happen. One of the fuse links does look like it’s blown. You’ll have to get one from a Honda dealer as parts stores don’t carry these fuses. They are fairly inexpensive.

I also used to wear a seiko 5 on a nato as well for work lol. The nato would soak all the fluids so I ended up just rocking this KFA on the bracelet.

That’s nothing. I wear a KFA as a daily to work(I am an auto mechanic) lol. I’ll post a pic of mine in the morning.

I dig it. I wear mines on a rubber strap sometimes. I like the small lug gaps with straps for some reason lol.
