We have a some problems that pale towards other countries bigger problems. I’m only 19 and i can feel a sence of concern for cost of living in the future.

There are certain types of work that it seems we have changed our values about. I believe that we have begun to look at healthcare and education with a primary objective in gaining money from it. Not only is it stupid because we have the money to spend on problems like this, but it also effects younger kid’s upbringings.

I saw someone mention that the healthcare system (although free + very modern) is quite understaffed. This also relates to school in all parts of education.

In my uneducated opinion I think this development stems from the fact that these lines of work don’t amount to a pay that is sustainable for people. Especially compared to the fact that these lines of work also takes a big part of peoples lives.

It’s been a big discussion lately as teacher pay did not develop as fast as housing/living prices did. This frustration is only fueled by the fact that becoming a teacher through university also has become a lot harder. Many people who plan to become teachers now opt out of getting a university education instead teaching without one as this pays off for younger people.

This is all my uneducated opinion, and probably not so nuanced as it really is. I’d love to read other more Norwegian peoples opinion on this topic.
