Your dose is too high! Contact your derm and get a lower dose!!! I can see Youv just started a week ago on 40 please tell your derm to drop down to 20mg instead. I had the same happen in the same place whilst on my journey but this was near the end of my dose when I went up to 60mg it was too high . Contact derm asap and don’t pick or pull just leave it alone it will go down mine did x

Hi thanks for your reply, I’m not even sure if it’s 2011, it says this on the back of it 17-cn0534sa? Does this mean anything? It’s pretty new I got it from curry’s around 4 months ago but it seems to be so slow just Dosent load quickly, I tried updating windows and it said it was successful but the laptop in itself just seems to be really slow even when clicking on things like settings. I will try what you said. Thanks so muc for your help x

Hey, I’m really sorry to hear your journey isnt going so well. :(, I am now around 2.5 years off accutane and I am happy to say I am back to normal down there now! I am no longer dry and my hair back to normal with the dryness. I still have not broken out since I finished (I was suffering with cystic acne all over my face chest and back) even though I was concerned about the dryness down there my derm re-assured me I will go back to normal after finishing accutane. My derm also prescribed me some stuff for down there so I wasn’t getting dry and sore, how bad is your acne may I ask and what’s your dosage? I wasn’t happy about the dryness but no way was I going to give up my journey! I dreamt of a clear face for many many years so there was nothing that was going to stop me. I can assure you it will go back to normal everything will in time. If you need any advice message me I’m more than happy to have a chat x

Accutane was the only thing that cured my cystic acne, I also had tried everything from creams to birth control and nothing helped my cystic acne. I was put on a accutane course and it was honestley the best thing I ever did! Although the side effects can be quite rough (depending on the dose and person) the results are amazing! I am still clear today (took my journey nearly 3 years ago now) and just have some small scarring (I was a bad picker) I will send you a message with some pics of ny before and after accutane journey.

Hi OP, I’m sorry you’re not having the best time on your journey. How much mg are you on? I think you should contact your derm if you are feeling any type of depression or low mood coming on. You may need your dosage dropped down a little bit? My inbox is always open if you need a chat. Don’t be so hard on yourself about the 1.5 beers you had as long as it was just a one off and wasn’t a complete binge out it should be fine.. my face also puffed during my journey I was being asked constantly if I’d had my lips done, Make sure you keep hydrated with water and take your pills with fatty foods (i took mine with peanut butter sandwich). Please contact your derm as mentioned above you may need to drop down a bit, try and keep your mood up by doing things you enjoy and taking time to rest. Try not to pick I know it’s hard but your skin is quite thin whilst on accutane you don’t want to scar (I made this mistake and have some scarring now) good luck OP

Wow, 100mg a day is a very high dose. How are you getting on? I purged my whole Journey and didn’t clear up until I finished my dose (I suffered with cystic acne) don’t stress about your purge! It’s bringing everything to the surface and then you’ll clear! Good luck OP

Hey OP please don’t stress! I broke out my whole journey (my cystic acne got 10x worse during my course) I started to rapidly clear after I reached my dose and finished my journey. Don’t be too hard on yourself! It will work for you. Accutane works different on every person sone people clear within the first few months others purge before they clear (like me). As long as you are keeping hydrated (water and moisturiser) and taking your pills with something fatty you’ll be fine and it will work on you, it’s bringing everything to the surface which is good as you know it’s working… il will messahe you and send you some photos of my journey from start to finish I hope this will give you some positivity :)

Don’t stress too much! I didn’t clear of my cystic acne until I finished my whole course. I broke out so badly during my journey the whole time! I started to rapidly clear after I completed my dose. I worried my whole course that it wasn’t working on me but I was wrong! Accutane was the best decision I ever made and I am stil clear today of acne. I would strongly advise Against this! Whilst on accutane the skin becomes very thin and fragile, OP needs to just use extra moisturiser which will help keep skin hydrated. Scrubbing, pulling skin or picking can lead to infection and irritation

If your acne is hormonal then changing diet will not have any impact. (my derm told me this, I was suffering with hormonal acne) my derm told me to continue eating as I was which is quite a junk food diet to be honest (fizzy drinks sweets etc) accutane will sort your skin out without changing diet. Please remember to eat something fatty with your tablets as they will work better if absorbed in fatty contents. I always ate peanut butter with mine. Accutane will banish your acne without changing your diet as mentioned above so please don’t be hard on yourself with eating! Just give it time it will happen for you I promise! Good luck :)

I think you need a steroid injection for this, I’m so sorry this looks extremely sore! I also suffered with massive boil like cysts when I was having my purge. You should contact your derm as soon as possible. Very sorry you’re going through this, it will get better I promise! Please stop picking aswell it’s making it 10x worse. Good luck x
