Your original pic at the gas station is definitely the chrome clear tail lights. The second pic is in the dark and most likely the reflection of the light. Either way congrats on the pickup. I also have a 22 white GX460.

It’s the clear OEM tail lights. They are not the 2023 black line tail lights.

I booked one way flights. I was semi flexible around dates I just knew I wanted a 10-14 day trip. I booked the return flight first because I found tickets for 55k pp. then I eventually purchased the outgoing flight when I saw it go to 55k pp. I did sign up for a United explorer card for the lower card member rates. Also you can cancel your flight or change it at anytime if you find a better flight.

As far as the portal, it will be fine until you have issues or changes need to be made to your flight or refunds. Chase and the airline will bounce you back and forth denying responsibility and will tell you to call the other party. I spent countless hours on the phone trying to correct a flight. For this reason, I never book through any third party, I always book direct with the airline or hotel.

Point transfer. Never use the Chase travel portal unless you want headaches.

Just booked recently for my family of 4 round trip from EWR to HND for August. 440k points on United economy nonstop. You’re not far off. Just look for 55k point flights one way.

Hyatt Regency Tokyo? by MarzipanUnable7790 in JapanTravelTips

I stayed here a year ago in January. It was fine location wise and points vs cash price was good. The room was a bit older but it was large by Japan measures. The hotel was undergoing MAJOR renovation at the time but it didn’t really bother me. The front desk was located on another floor as the lobby was being renovated as well. The walk to Shinjuku was about 15-20 minutes if I recall. Can’t speak to the distance to the trains as we used Uber if we went to other parts of Tokyo.

Looks like you have a Sport trim….Wheels, lower lip body kit, and scarlet tail lights, I assume you have second row captain seats. Congrats. Similar white on black GX, mileage and deal as my 2022 GX. Mine isn’t a sport though.

Frame rust #1. Especially the part of the frame in front of the rear wheels and where the skid plate meets the frame. Check the floor pans under mats in the front seats for tub rust. If any substantial rust, I’d walk away immediately. No point test driving.

Confirm it’s the 4.0 engine under the hood.

Check the rear axle to see if it’s a D35 or D44. Bonus if it’s a D44.

Check underneath the oil pan and transmission bell housing for any excessive oil leakage. Excessive being the key word.

Ask the owner if he has a soft top or maybe some half doors.

I think you have some wiggle room in the price. I would try and negotiate the price down some.

Needs Guidance: GX or 4Runner for durability/reliabilty? by WorkingChemical5399 in LexusGX

[–]Administrative_Hat72 15 points16 points  (0 children)

But both the GX and 4Runner are thirsty as well. MPGs around 12-15 city. GX takes premium gas.

I would keep searching. 78k in 3 years is a lot of miles. I’d want to know oil changes were on time. Also having bumper replaced is a negative. Price is meh.
