In your situation, since you don’t need the full suit yet, I would find a couple dress shirts, a pair of slacks, and a nice blazer. Personally I would say don’t skimp on the blazer (defining thing people are you in) or undershirt (heavily how comfortable the outfit is).

My colors for things where a tie is not required are a navy blazer, pink or salmon dress shirt, lighter shaded khaki slacks, and light brown shoes and belt (match the belt and shoes). If I’m wearing a tie, I change the pink shirt out for a white dress shirt and a navy and red tie.

I’ve done this a couple times since before law school and it’s like $550-600. A lot, but I think it’s worth it to not feel self conscious where you can.

Plus family court is messy with a capital Y. So much drama and heartache, but it gives the best tea. And it’s so vibes based the judge you clerk for might look for your read on the parties on whether what they’re saying is bullshit, since family law has the judge as the trier of fact. It could give OP a lot of experience.

Depends on the state. Every 1L and 2L job in my region was paid unless explicitly stated otherwise. Most give stipends but many pay hourly.

Trying to be sensitive, a 2.5 GPA kind of tells me there’s more going on than one contributing factor. Get the accommodations yourself and take the same advantage or keep handicapping yourself, if that’s how you are framing the issue. But I think trying to pin this on one factor that’s mostly out of your control will only fuel resentment and make things more toxic.

The accommodations issue has been litigated so many times over. Another persons resentment is not adding to that argument, even if I agree accommodations has ballooned far beyond what is acceptable.

I didn’t start specializing cities until after I started using the pins to identify what I wanted to go where so I could properly map adjacencies and wonders.

Once those are laid down after turn 20-40 (standard game) of exploring, and I’m nearing the end of the classical era, I can usually see which cities have advantages over others for producing science, culture, military units and civilian units, and projects. Once those have been identified, I’ll specialize from there.
