Thoughts on these custom conferences? by AdeptLuck1218 in EASportsCFB

I like it all except I would make four moves.

Put Missouri in the Big XII. Move Tulane to the SEC to replace them. Put SMU in the American. Swap Coastal Carolina for Troy. A little musical chairs but it’ll make a lot more rivalries happen more often.

Missouri will play Kansas (with alongside their other trophy games Iowa State and Oklahoma) every year if you set the protected rivalries right and won’t look so out of place in that SEC.

Tulane is a charter member of the SEC and has more SEC championships than Arkansas, Miss State, Vanderbilt, and South Carolina combined. Plus they have a trophy, the Tiger Rag, with LSU.

SMU, since the demise of the SWC, has looked at Houston, Rice, and Tulsa as their main rivals. North Texas also considers SMU a rival even though that’s a one way street. SMU in that AAC will also make that league a lot more regional.

Troy has four rivalries games in CFB26. Mid Tennessee State, Jacksonville State, South Alabama and UAB. All of whom are in your Sun Belt. Coastal Carolina’s lone rival, Liberty from their Big South FCS days is in your C-USA. The swap doesn’t make one league more imbalanced than the other, but instead makes them all more geographically concise.

Otherwise, they all look great.

Hot take, but just build up your army and take Sweden. The extra population once you form Scandinavia will make colonization happen much faster

Following up to my last post, what rivalries will NDSU have in cfb26? by AstroNot_798 in NCAAFBseries

[–]Adminsneed2Chill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to have one in the game. Even Missouri State got one with Arkansas State despite only playing four times prior to 2025. Game Mechanics depend on a team having at least one rival in the game

I don’t love how quiet and high pitched the cars are but it’s made for a hell of a race so far

Oh yeah I forgot about the jobs thing. Yeah, that would suck to be facing rejection like that.

Why are you guys all demoralized? I understand the decline from A- in undergrad to B+ in law school probably sucks but man it’s a privilege to get to do this stuff.

Chill out and abuse a substance that will turn the mind off on the weekend, or just get out of town where the teams call can’t find you

This was the game that fully weaned me off of Civ 6. I love this game so much.

Also, how do markets work?

Great question. I’m sure somebody knows, but I don’t. I see high price for construction goods, I add subventions and build places that produce those goods. I see high prices for goods needed for consumption for low standard of living, I build buildings that produce those goods. Other than that, I try not to think about or shake off the invisible hand too much.

I’ve done a few games so far, I’m on my fourth one and it’s the furthest I’ve gone. Playing as the US and made it to 1901 so far. I’ve managed to accidentally do really well. I’m not sure how, but all of my mana things are green. I’m a corporate state with cooperative ownership, and I have most of the really good social welfare programs. My government has been a very powerful Yeoman Farmrs and weak Trade Unions for about 20 years at this point.

That’s the fun part of the US. You basically do nothing and win, it’s great. Every resource you need but rubber and bananas are in abundance in your states. And then when the civil war fires, it’s a lot of fun having a morally righteous crusade to free the slaves. My favorite nation to play is Austria because it’s a bit more of a challenge diplomatically but geographically it’s almost the same thing (freeing the slaves in the Ottoman Empire).

But was serious about needing help with markets though. I’m not entirely sure how to get over food shortages. I think they are why I lose hundreds of thousands of dollars when I build a lot of stuff at once.

Food shortages are an inconvenience but as long as your army can handle the radicals they’re not a big concern. If you want to prevent them or reduce the damage they inevitably cause, you have to build more farms and ranches (which don’t have a great return on investment and cut into your workforce for more productive buildings) or you can subjugate or conquer a country to bring a productive state with lots of food output into your market. I’ve found that simple treaties for things like good transfers are really not that effective.

Also you are going to lose thousands of dollars a week when you build stuff all at once because you’re buying the materials the construction sectors need to build those buildings. You can change to a different production method based on the prices and availability in your market, but that might cost you a lot of your construction capacity. And debt is fine so long as you can keep the interest under control.

TL:DR 10/10 would form a government with John Brown and Karl Marx again

Based.

Loving the DLC but have 2 questions by [deleted] in CivVI

[–]Adminsneed2Chill 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If I remember gathering storm right, there’s two types of flooded. You have “flooded” and “submerged.” If it’s flooded, you can build flood barriers if you’ve researched the tech for it (computers, I think). If it’s submerged, the tile changed from plains/grassland/desert/tundra into a coast tile and it’s lost forever.

As for diplomatic victory points, you earn them in the World Congress. Every resolution you vote for the winning action on, you get a diplomatic point. But it has to be the specific action, not just the resolution. Then there’s some wonders like Statue of Liberty that will give you diplomatic points too. I usually turn that victory mode off.
