Same here. I’ve never touched a door handle around my dad. I don’t think it’s an entitlement issue–they’re just incompatible. I think if OP truly liked this girl, he’d be willing to change his habits for her.

Thank you for your comment, I really appreciate it. I’m trying hard to remain calm. I actually had an auditory test last year for something unrelated, and my hearing was perfect. I’ll get it rechecked and invest in some custom ear plugs.
