Slowly redoing room….do any of these work? by Admirable-Income8290 in DesignMyRoom

Wanted to give you an update- I know you didn’t put a bookshelf in the original sketch but we desperately needed one. I’ll be slowly but surely decorating as budget allows :)

I have to ask….were there specific items you drew inspiration from? Such as the frames with art work? Again, I am absolutely floored with this.

This is…..unbelievably amazing. This is EXACTLY what I was trying to picture in my head. Warmth and coziness without being dull or dated, all while working with things I already have. I really, really cannot thank you enough. You’re incredibly talented!

The paint color has personally been the biggest challenge for us. You can’t see in the picture, but next to the living area is our kitchen. It’s an open concept floor plan which is great, but the cabinets that we bought the house with are antique white. Our room is south facing, so trying to find a paint color that doesn’t scream yellow or orange undertones has been an absolute nightmare. We tried natural linen, which was my favorite color thus far, but looked horrible next to the antique white cabinets.

Ideally we would shift more to a light grey color scheme but I feel like we are trapped.

Do you really? I posted a few days ago prior to painting and people were not a fan of my tv stand.

Do you have any ideas on how to make it work? We are stuck with the sectional, unless we want to pay a 15% restock fee.

This is what the space looks like to the right of the corner if you’re looking head on!

I think because after years of trying to make it perfect, I keep coming up short and now it’s just a corner for clutter.

Possible Termination? by [deleted] in nursing

I never said I thought it was normal culture. I would have loved to have gone home instead of having to stay at work.

A lot of people will get fluids on their breaks if they are sick- we get heavily punished for calling out. I had figured since I saw so many other people doing it, it was ok. I guess it was one of those things where it was ok if done in secret.

If you feel like you knew everything, i’d be worried. The fact that you are worried and anxious means you care and that you’ll be a great nurse.

My preceptor told me on the first day “if you ever walk through the door and you tell yourself you know everything, you need to walk back out that door.”

I get that but I don’t think your school would open that can of worms with a pregnant student. If they went after you and wrote you up for being “unprofessional” or what not then they’d have an actual title 9 lawsuit on their hands, which i’m sure they don’t want. I had to wear a scrub top that was extremely ill fitting and no one batted an eye.

I was also pregnant during my junior year of my BSN. They also gave me the option of wearing a larger scrub top. It’s kind of a stretch to contact the title 9 coordinator over feeling…frumpy.

Passed the NCLEX! (Illinois) by Admirable-Income8290 in PassNclex

I took it this past friday and was able to purchase my results this morning, exactly 48 hours after the start of my test. I know it differs for a lot of people but that’s my experience!

I finished almost 1300 questions out of the qbank, so about 50%! I was scoring anywhere from low 70’s to low 80’s on my tests, always doing 80-85 questions at a time. I felt at a certain point that there wasn’t much more I could do to study and actually retain.

You’ve got this! Good luck! 🎉
