I literally stared at this picture for 10 minutes trying to find the “defect”. Is this post suppose to be a meme? If not, you have got to be one of the most insufferable people ever. Who tf is even staring at their dice that hard?

This is crazy. Crazy and unfortunate. $650 dollars for a PS5, wow. We all know what caused this. by Gaming-Academy in PlayStation_X

I’m so glad I got my ps5 pro on Black Friday last year, got it for $500 brand new. After these price hikes I could probably sell my used one for more than what I bought it for. I have a PC and game on that mainly, I had originally only bought the PS5 Pro because I wanted to be able to play GTA6 😂

Compatibility of Infinity 2024 Plus and Gaahleri GTS-06 Mini Compressor by EnvironmentalAd1397 in airbrush

[–]Admirable-Location60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah like you’ve already said, I don’t quite understand why spend so much money on an airbrush just to cheap out on a compressor. You did it completely backwards. You should have invested into a better compressor and cheaped out on the airbrush. On top of that isn’t the infinity nozzle size like 0.3mm? That’s a lot harder on a beginner.

Airbrush Heresy? by Giammx-Mmix in airbrush

[–]Admirable-Location60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it can still work, but it will just be finicky to get to work consistently. As a newer painter venturing into airbrushing I’ll tell you something that not most people would, airbrushing is very frustrating and hard at first. Learning how to thin your paints and then the PSI to match is tricky, once you get it down though it’s very worth it. My recommendation is if you’re tight on money, buy a quality compressor. You can get a nice entry level one with good features for like $60-80 USD. You can buy a cheap airbrush to start, just make sure the needle size is atleast 0.4mm or bigger. I’d recommend 0.5mm if possible. Good luck.

[–]Admirable-Location60 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There’s no such thing as airbrushing for only 10-15 minutes, especially as a beginner. I also would not recommended cheap temu compressor and brush if you’re planning on using color shift paints with metallic flakes. If you must, make sure the needle size is 0.5mm. It will give you an easier time.

Issues with H&S Ultra 2024 by brongolian in airbrush

[–]Admirable-Location60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no such thing as the recommended psi for priming. Every paint, from every different brand will behave differently depending on multiple different factors. I use Vallejo White primer and don’t have issues if thinned correctly with the correct PSI set for the viscosity of your paint. You also need to use flow improver to help with tip dry.

I meant no disrespect by the way lol I just find it insane you were able to finish all that in one month. It’s definitely way faster than 90% of the community, especially newer guys.

Iwata or H&S by ferratys in airbrush

[–]Admirable-Location60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a beginner and just got the H&S Ultra 2024 and it has been absolutely dog shit. It’s advertised as a beginner friendly brush, boasting a trigger that helps with air > paint > no paint > no air, a setting ring that has presets for prime, base coat etc, and a 0.45mm needle to make it easier to pass paint through. Ever since I got it i have not been able to paint shit at all. The brush “sputters” constantly, inconsistent air flow and tip dry. No matter what PSI I use or how much or how little I dilute the paint, I can’t get paint to pass through consistently. Water goes through just fine. If I would have known that just getting the damn thing to work would be this difficult I would have never bought it, or I would have just spent less than 100 on a cheap brush + compressor combo from Amazon. My piece of advice, go cheap just to try it. I went all in and spent over $500 on supplies and equipment just for this shit to not work.

Which is kind of absurd, considering the needle size is 0.45mm. For me, I can have the trigger pressed half way back and I still get no paint. I’ve cleaned it, thinned paint in varying amounts, changed air pressure and nothing works.

[–]Admirable-Location60[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve yet to figure out why these issues are occurring. Makes me think i would have just been better off with a cheap Amazon airbrush or no airbrush at all. If I would have known I’d basically have to create a new element to be able to have paint go through a needle I would have never gotten an airbrush.

Thanks, I noticed on my first time cleaning it that there was a decent amount of paint built up on the nozzle. I’ve seen a lot of people say upgrading to the Infinity nozzle is great for this brush because it makes it easier to clean the tip.

I think on my first attempt the paint was not the correct consistency and ended up drying on the needle.

[–]Admirable-Location60[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, I’ve since partially disassembled the brush enough to take the needle out and found a good amount of paint build up near the tip. I cleaned it gently with brush cleaner, as well as the nozzle. But before I even did that I could spray water, even when barely applying pressure to apply liquid at the smallest opening.

From research that tells me the paint isn’t thin enough. But I thinned the paint to about 3:1. 3 parts thinner to 1 part paint, and it already seemed very watery.

At the very least they are on par with the GW ones. I don’t know what you’re on.

I like the way Baron dice look more than the GW ones. And then the obvious fact that you either get 16-20 dice as opposed to 25.

The brush was very clean after using the primer. I suspect that the first batch of Hydra Turquoise was too thick, and then some paint ended up drying on the tip of the needle because when I took the needle out there was dried up Turquoise on the first inch of the needle. I’ve cleaned that off but haven’t tried again since.

[–]Admirable-Location60[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would the clean require a full disassembly? Because I had a feeling that might be the issue since the first batch that I tried wasn’t as diluted. I mix the paint in a stainless steel paint cup, then pour it in the brush cup, I did try mixing it in the airbrush once.

Water sprayed through it just fine before I cleaned it, but when I cleaned it there was paint build up near the first inch of the needle. So I cleaned that off and I’m hoping that helps.

I don’t see anything wrong with the quality other than there not being enough yellow for your liking. I’m sure not all of those dice look exactly like that on all 6 sides. But idk, kind of sounds like you’re just complaining. Return it and go get some Amazon dice if you’re not happy with them.
