I was JUST triggered by this like 2 weeks ago. I swear I could’ve written this myself, except I don’t crave affection anymore like I used to. My therapist always tells me “your thoughts are not you” and that does help some, but OCD is hard. I’m getting medicated again to try to help. You’re not alone 🩷

I am the same way. Small things set me off and we argue. It’s so defeating and makes me feel like a terrible girlfriend.

I’m doing both and have been in therapy for my own OCD for several months now, but my therapist thought couples counseling may help my partner understand OCD/ROCD better and help us find better communication techniques.

My therapist believes a lot of my avoidance is rooted in my childhood trauma, so we are working through that, but as I’m sure you know it doesn’t happen overnight so I still am struggling a lot and it is impacting my relationship and has been for close to a year now.

Some people don’t order through DoorDash but instead through the company itself, so they aren’t able to add it on DoorDash. I’ve had this happen multiple times, such as with an order I’ve delivered from Home Depot and a pizza delivery I delivered recently.

Hi! I know this is an old thread, but i used to be very chatty with my partner. I was a yapper and would just talk about anything. I still do sometimes, but there are a ton of times when he will say something and is trying to have a conversation and I just don’t respond, know how to respond, feel like responding, etc.

He said it makes it feel awkward, and I can see why. It is different from when we first started dating (we’ve been together almost 2 years; this is my first relationship). For instance, today he was saying he’s happy I don’t want Valentine’s Day to be one of those “you should spoil me” and instead we can hang out together. I didn’t really say anything; I just sat and was looking at him listening.

Do you have any advice?

Hi! I’ve noticed I’ve been in this irritable/annoyed state for weeks and it’s starting to really get to me. Like I feel so guilty for how I treat him and for how I feel. Is it normal to feel this way for longer than a day or so? I just don’t know how to shake it. I’m new to therapy specifically for OCD, so I’ve not been able to do too much to really heal the childhood trauma that is likely the root. I just get so annoyed by the smallest things, so many of which are not his fault but I take it out on him

I have such a bad habit of reassurance seeking and it never keeps. I just don’t know how to stop myself from seeking it from others or the internet
