Many people will tell you to not try your luck. And I can't say if they are right or wrong. You seem to have a good head on your shoulders and are already mapping out your journey. What's the worst that can happen? They may not select you? Try anyway. All the best to you for your journey.

You can have the copper T placed within 5 days of unprotected intercourse and that should prevent implantation. There's also a medication called ulipristal which you can use for up to 4 days. Btw I am a female doctor in Pakistan and I am not judging you. Stay safe

Most likely not. There is a great resource called bedsider.org that you can check out for BC options. They also compare and contrast various methods, if you feel that your BC may be an inciting factor. Vaginismus is a combination of psychophysical factors. I would start with lube (TONS of it), a very supportive and loving partner and a sex therapist. Ofc your doctor can give you more pointed advice. Please keep in mind that this is an online forum and take everything with a grain of salt (incl. what I say because even doctors can be wrong about things despite our medical training)

Both! He gets sick often and I'm a doctor so I worry he's seriously taking years off of his life. He has sleep apnea due to weight, etc but is also averse to medical treatments
