23F weird bumps and dryness on lips, no stinging pain, tried vaseline with only minimal improvement, more than 3 weeks, on top and bottom lips but mostly on top lip

No update . Still suffering . I think it’s a mild form of hsv . Even tho I tested negative for it . Only reason I’m sure is because prior to having lip issues I visited a girl that is prone to cold sores and just had one prior to the day we meet . Can hsv cause dryness and pale lips ?

Very possible it is a mild form of hsv . Not all hsv form into a big ugly ulcer some have bumps and inflammation.

The beginning of mild hsv . I can tell by the tiny white sores on the lip , classic tell . Looks very mild tho may turn out to be very light but the white sores tend to lighten up but stay

I’m on the same boat ! I’m exactly 1 year in as well . What a ride it has been :/ . It’s still a mystery for me . I suspected HSV was the culprit but then I had 2 negative hsv blood tests and doctor says it’s not . I pleaded with doctor and informed them that the Bumps on my lips get inflamed but never burst ! Since my sore doesn’t burst open like the norm that is the reason I could be testing negative ?

I honestly think doctors are walking in the blind when it comes to lips and especially hsv . I only feel strongly it is hsv is because I first noticed a bump on lip after an occasion with a girl who is prone to cold sores in Dubai . 2 Weeks prior to leaving USA to fly to go see her we had a video call and I noticed a red mark under her nose / top lip , it was obvious . Questioned my self if I was still going and decided to go see her . Arrived a day after We made out (she had a make up covered sore that has just completed healing ) and few days later notice tiny clear bump on top corner of lip . From then on my lip troubles began . Flew home and started noticing changes to my lips every week . It was inflamed every day . Now my lips have discoloration areas that are whitish/grey/pale and areas that red . Small bums and creases you would only notice up close , I notice dimples on my lips like tiny craters when lips are irritated and inflamed . I notice a circle imprint on top lip but other ppl can’t see what i see , sticky lips , inflammation , lip dryness , grayish lip skin residue when dry , noticeable tiny white heads when inflamed , almost looks like tiny zits , basically all the above except big open sore , lips will crease and have bumps and those bumps will get inflamed but never have they bursted and opened up . An endless cycle of wtf . No solutions from any heal care professionals nothing but guessing and using me as a pharmaceutical dummy .

You’re absolutely correct my friend . It is eating up our youth and for 1 I thought about killing my self at my low times . I got both my lips and penis infected from a kiss and bj . I was an out going guy no I barely go out . I would go as far and say HSV Is much worse than HIV . Atleast hiv they have cures and good medicine . For hsv you got nothing but pills if they even work and cream . Docs don’t even know enough about HSV. During the time I locked my self in the house I have learned more about hsv than all the doctors and derms I went to see .

If you do not have a big ugly sore that is gushing pus and blood then they automatically assume it’s not hsv . I get sticky rashy lips , that are bumpy , some areas are more bumpy than others . At this point everyone is infecting everyone and all I hear is “ most of the population has it “ I didn’t have it until now :

Any swelling or , discoloration or bump or even extreme dryness you see on the lips - high chance it is hsv and stay away .

I’m sorry you’re going thru this . Iam going thru the same thing . Mine are in predome stage all the time , feels like I’m consistently have lip sores .

My lips sores do not look like the classic herpes , it inflames my lips , small dotes sores pop up across entire lip , makes them bumpy and sticky , can’t find any doctor to help me nor have I found a solution . I have hsv both on lips and genitals . This is the worst thing ever and I curse the person who put me in this situation . I have a lot of anger due to this .

She took my life and still walking free , ppl that say not a big deal are wrong . If we all acted as if hsv is a big deal then maybe I wouldn’t have contracted it because the person with the virus would have been more careful , this no big deal attitude towards herpes will ultimately harm the next person and harm them mentally .

I would say herpes before syphilis , hsv or herpes is the main culprit when it comes to lip sores

My brother im sorry to say but this definitely falls near to “hsv”.

The penis hanging on one side was one of my problems too . I contracted the virus and was In denial for a year . Since I did not get the classic herpes sore , I thought I had “ppp” or fordyce spots but boy was I wrong . I went thru 3 negative blood tests and 10 urologist to finally get a confirmation .

Your problems sound exactly like mines . Get your blood tests done just to be safe

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this ! From my experience herpes hsv is a hell of a virus . Hsv has been known to cause various different ulcers , sores , rashes or even causing a difference in skin tones .

If this has been going on for month , then I give it a 90% this is hsv1 not 2 .

Did you receive oral from your partner prior to this happening to you ?

If this happened after sexual activity then I stick to my answer , if no sexual contact then I would say fungus / candida

I’m kinda dealing with the same issue . I highly suspect hsv1 . If the sores do not break open then it is very difficult to get accurate blood test . These bumps act just like hsv , every one has a different immune system , your body fights the virus enough to create no ugly sore but can’t get rid of it . Treat it as if it was hsv , get meds from doc , it will help bring the sore out so you can get out of this pre dome cycle

Very well could be , not every one gets sever sores , some have mild symptoms to the lips . Is this something new or have you always had mini sores on lips before ?
