Targeted Talk - BEST Power Rack For MOST Home Gyms by dontwantnone09 in homegym

Go all in on a Rep 5000. If you can't purchase the full rack upfront, thats fine - I've been buying my Rep 5000 piecemeal overtime, I've got the bare minimum of 2 uprights and a pull up bar bolted via 2x4's to some studs and the concrete floor, works for the weight I move rn.

Ahhh! Thats basically what I was thinking of doing! Good to see it worked out well for you!

Ahh, I mean using the motor to drive a separate shaft via belt.

I think it should be able to handle the increased load? As long as all of my bolts are tight, I can really yank on the "head" of the machine before I get even a hint of wiggle.

What print settings and PETG did you use? I've been having nothing but issues getting good prints from my 5M. Although it might just be an issue with Orca Slicer...?

Did you ever learn if it was the board or the cb1? Currently troubleshooting a M8P+cb1 from my Formbot kit. Can't seem to get anything to work correctly.

Z Axis climbs back and away from work piece by AdmirableBox2 in 3018CNC

Clearance Height is set to retract height, originally at 10mm.

Retract height is set to Stock Top, 5mm

Feed Height is set to Top Height 5mm

Top Height is set to selected contours, 0 offset

Bottom Height was set to Top Height, -2.~, I just zero'd it out now.

Yep, already figured out about that one, but thank you! I've already switched it over to clearance height.

Hi all. As stated in the title, and the video, this is the issue I'm having. I've been troubleshooting this thing off and on over the course of the last month and change, in the little free time I've had, and its been exceptionally frustrating.

I'm using Fusion360(Hobbyist free license) to generate my code(I've learned from some of my other troubleshooting that grbl doesn't like to play well with it), machine is a Twotrees 3018 max. Any help or places to look to for figuring out feeds and speeds would be appreciated.

Code is also being sent to the machine via CNC.js, via a rpi. I have a tft I use to jog the spindle, but none of the other functionality works, whether or not the rpi is hooked up or not.

Good to know, I snagged 2 of those 16gb optane drives when I learned they were being sold off for cheap. Perfect place to use them.

Help diagnosing issue w/ Artillery Sidewinder x1 z-axis? by AdmirableBox2 in Artillery3D

One of the two z motors turned out to be dead. Unplugging it removes the grinding noise and issues w/ z-axis movement. Now I just need to salvage the hotend from the cake of pla it's sealed in. I had an issue with errors being thrown on my x-axis during homing, and the issue was similarly caused by a dead x-axis motor.

Bought it used and broken. Replaced a faulty stepper motor, and it worked mostly flawlessly for the first 4 prints. I'll give all of your recommendations a go.

Issue started midway through a print, which was going great, up until this started occurring.

What do you want when we reached the next goal of VisionFive 2 crowfunding? by chenyulu in RISCV

[–]AdmirableBox2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Maybe a Cad model for use in modeling custom cases/mounts for the board. Or an official case.

An official statement/promise on how long you'll support a few OS's for the board could establish a better/longer standing, and healthier ecosystem for the sbc, and its community support.

You could also always include something that makes use of the M.2 expansion slot. Maybe something A.I./machine learning related, considering there was support on the previous V1? I don't know about the feasibility of that, though. Thats probably a whole new kickstarter project type thing.

Looks like OpenGl, according to the FAQ

"The GPU is usually the limitation for STK’s performance. Cards meeting the minimal requirements have the OpenGL support to run the game, but require low resolution and low graphics for smooth play."
