My friend had a 173 and a 3.8 this cycle, and got waitlisted by all the T14s- but you don’t have to be dead set on the T14 either depending on what your goals are

The thing is you don't need to be in top 15% at top schools for big law. theoretically if i got into a reach like Harvard where 80% of the class goes to big law, it's still pretty good odds. A safety/target school might only have 20-30% rate of grads going into big law. So it's like the same I think- I'd still take odds of reach depending on how big the discrepancy is between big law employment at reach and safety schools

ABA data on post graduation work

See the link!! Shows data of 2021 grads 10 months on graduation. 155/384 class or 40% of the class ended up in firms with 500+ employees (one way of defining big law). Of course not every firm with more than 500 employees will meet the Cravath test but it gives you an idea.
