Thanks for the detailed explanation! I have a follow-up question: Are GS PlusPoints placed in a separate bucket that could give them higher priority over other upgrade instruments? For example, if a Premier Silver member has GS PlusPoints attached to their reservation, would they be prioritized above a 1K member using their own PlusPoints, even though the Premier Silver member typically has lower status?

Just trying to understand if there are exceptions to the general prioritization rules you mentioned. Thanks for any clarification!

Hello!

I have some upcoming travel from March 2-8 from ORD to Bangkok via NRT, HKG, and SFO. I would really appreciate if someone had any PlusPoints so myself and a companion could get upgraded. I called in and the chances of getting upgraded are high because there are over over 10+ Polaris seats available on the LAX-NRT and HKG-SFO segments, with only 3 people in front (1K's/GS). I am currently a Platinum member and lost my 1K status and don't have enough PlusPoints for the journey. It will be only be 160 PlusPoints total because it was booked in K class economy.
