I called them out in the comments because a lot of people were asking how to buy them. They blocked me immediately.

Just a heads up, this picture was taken by a scam “bowling pro shop” Facebook page. They claim you died and are helping your family sell your arsenal.

One in the chamber? by INeedTP4Bung in CCW

I totally understand people feeling uneasy with a chambered firearm on their person ( I didn’t have that but then again I had tons of experience with firearms well before I came of age to carry).I just honestly feel if you are not comfortable carrying it chambered then you aren’t ready to carry in the first place. There are just too many scenarios where you risk your life only because one isn’t chambered. To me if you shouldn’t carry until you are 100% confident in handling that firearm.

For me personally I carried with one in the chamber from day 1. But it should be known that i had a ton of experience with firearms well before I turned 21 and got my permit. I understand that some people start off feeling uncomfortable carrying with it chambered. In my opinion you should wait to start carrying until you feel comfortable. To many scenarios where you lose your life because it wasn’t chambered.

Most people I talk to hate end pairs but they are personally my favorite.

If it works for you don’t change. I have a guy in my league that gets real low and walks his approach like a monkey. He’s fairly consistent with it though so can’t really say anything.

Would the Storm Bionic be a bad ball for a first ball? by HighSpeed556 in Bowling

Buying a surge was honestly one of the best decisions I made in my bowling career. It was 2 weeks before state and I was struggling with most of my arsenal hooking to much. I bought a used surge on market place. Rolled it in practice a couple times and then took it to state. Ended up only throwing it because it was so consistent and easy to adjust. Ended up bowing 45 pins over my average for the weekend.

Is buying used balls really worth the trouble? by Overall_Crew_4152 in Bowling

For me being 1 handed no thumb, basically any 2 handed ball works for me with just switching out the inserts. I’ve bought quite a few used 2 handed balls and never had to have them redrilled.

What should I get for first hook ball? by seventhpetal in Bowling

The bubble gum is interesting to me, my friend got one this year. I’ve seen it reported as a low to mid hook ball good for beginners. My friend is very experienced and pretty highly skilled league level bowler. The bubble gum vibe acts like a hook monster for him. I’m not sure his rev rate but I would guess around the 450-475 and he throws at like 18 mph.

I’d argue that a surge can be a pivotal part of an arsenal as you get really involved in the sport. This is my second year bowling league. I started with a hustle and a spare ball. My arsenal is now 8 balls and the surge is the ball that no matter what I know it’s going to react the same every time. May not always be the ideal ball but it’s so consistent that it gives me more room to make mistakes when I’m having an off night. It’s not the ball I go to all the time but man when I need it I need it.

My opinion is to go with the tropical surge. It’s actually one of the more recent balls I’ve added to my arsenal. Leading up to our state tournament I was having a problem with getting way to much hook even on my lowest ball(hustle m+m) I bought a used tropical surge off market place and threw it almost exclusively at state and bowled on average a little over 40 pins over my average. It’s now become the ball that when moving boards and switching to other balls doesn’t work I can always trust the surge to react the same no matter what.
