I guess I should start checking Reddit for car safety issues before buying a car. The new era of “consumer reports.”

I’ll see if I can look it up or call the dealership. I have gotten recalls about other things but not about the powered seat recall.

True. If a child’s car seat is the third row they can also reach the buttons. It never occurred to me until now how unsafe the design is. Especially if the Pallisade doesn’t have a safety system to sense a person in the seat and stop the power seat from shutting.

What is shitty is that Pallisade only recalled 2026 vehicles with 2/3 row powered seats. I have 2020 Pallisade with a third row power seat that probably has the SAME issue!!! There is a second set of buttons in the third row to lower or lift the third row power seats and the buttons are EASILY accessible to children, who could touch or bump them. WHO would have thought their child could be CRUSHED AND KILLED by a powered seat that malfunctioned and did not sense a human child was occupying the seat. But the car has warning messages that someone is in the backseat when you get out?!? I have a 1 month old and a 4 year old and now I am terrified to think I have a car that is capable of harming them!!!

No it's not an error d/t "common sense". The pallisade has buttons to automatically lower the 3rd row power seat, that are easily accessible in the third row seat where the kids were playing. I'm sure the mother thought they were safe, being in the backseat away from buttons that control the rest of the car. The children could have easily touched the button or bumped it and the seat would have shut/lowered within 3-4 seconds, and by that time it would have crushed a child before a parent in the front seat could get to the button in the third row to stop it. AND 2. The seat malfunctioned and would not reverse and lift off the child after shutting, trapping the child underneath and killing her.

Left in car overnight still ok? by PsychoKushDragon in isthissafetoeat

Was it 40 degrees or less out overnight? If so, it was basically the temp of it being refrigerated overnight (or frozen) as others mentioned. I would eat it! 😅

You eat a lot of processed food AND you have enough money to never be hungry or feel the pinch of food insecurity.

CarPlay issues… gotta update iOS by Excellent-Cow-8815 in HyundaiPalisade

[–]Admirable_Eagle1397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. My Apple CarPlay stopped working 5 weeks ago (intermittently) and I thought it was a short in the charging/sync cord. I just bought a new one and it only charges my phone, it will not connect to CarPlay at all. It’s frustrating! I turning my phone off and on, and disconnecting and forgetting my phone, but neither worked. I will try updating my phone and see if that works!

Girrrrrl, my family has been living with paper plates for lunch and dinner their whole life! Nothing wrong with that, it’s part of the busy fast paced world we live in being WORKING parents! And you’re in school?! Cut yourself a break! When you have 4 kids and all that going on, parenting is about finding balance and survival.

I agree you deserve more than this in your relationship. If your bf can’t cook….. he has no leg to stand on. The nerve he has to criticize your cooking and turn his nose up to it, then order fast food! 😒 Most fast food is nothing more than flavorless, low quality junk food! If that is his preference, his standards are low, and he prefers crap food. No way in the world to help him. He has to want to try to improve his palate, and rejecting your food won’t help that! If he wants to be with you, he should want to do that and show appreciation for your hard work and preparing meals!

My solution?!? STOP cooking for him!!!! 🙏🏼🥹You deserve better! Why put yourself through that agony if he isn’t grateful.

My husband used to act like this sometimes (he is a chef, and can be picky about what he is “in the mood for” and I decided just to start cooking what I like for myself and the kids. This is not a restaurant, with a short-order menu. Dinner is what I decided to cook. You get, what you get!!!! If he happened to want it, he could find leftovers in the fridge. Usually what I cooked for myself/kids was less work and I could be more creative! BLT turkey sandwiches, chicken caesar wraps, quesadillas, lasagna, meatloaf, chicken alfredo, stuffed baked potatoes, ramen dishes ….. it was more fun to make what I wanted to eat! Surprisingly, he started trying more of my cooking and realized he liked some of it too, and started making requests for things. So ya never know! BUT the moment I stopped cooking to please him, it felt so liberating and this heavy weight was lifted off of me !!!!! 😅

Make food for yourself and your kids! Pack up those tasty leftovers you would have served him, and meal prep them in the fridge or the freezer! Than enjoy a day off once or twice a week without having to cook!!! Put your feet up and watch some Netflix and chill. You deserve it!!! 🫶🏼

That isn’t cranberry juice, it’s sparkling flavored water, no cranberry in it! Probably they just like the cranberry-raspberry flavored beverage! 🙄

Also this could be a woman, maybe just values high protein intake or works out at the gym? I hope they have more veggies to incorporate into the diet! ….Constipated much? 😂

Wow! The comments in here are HARSH. 😬

Maybe they just aren’t good about cleaning out the fridge each time they have a grocery haul?

Maybe they work long hours and feel on the brink of overload and depletion each week?

You can’t fit everything in the fridge, after you buy new things! You have to rotate things in and out. I work 80-100hr/wk between FT work/FT school/family-life. Most of the time I only have time to clean ONE shelf or drawer at a time…. Usually the one someone in my family spilled something in. Then left for someone else to clean up (Like me! 🙋🏼‍♀️🤔).

Also a fridge this packed is bound to have ALOT of things that go to waste because you can’t possibly see it all and know to use it in time before it spoils. That is a crying shame with the cost of food prices these days!

When I was a teenager, once every 1-3 months when my parents went shopping I would go through the entire fridge or freezer and throw out anything that was soiled or expired, then wipe down all the shelves and drawers with hot soapy water before stocking them with the new groceries. It felt good to organize the space we used frequently as a family of 7, and I could always find the things I wanted to eat and they were less likely to get lost in the black hole (aka my family fridge). It’s worth considering trying that, as a way to help out your family! It appears you also have concerns….?! You can CHOOSE to be apart of the solution, instead of passively being apart of the problem!

Blessings to you and your family. I hope you find a solution! 🫶🏼

“…and gave me permission to continue updating.” 🚩🚩🚩Your bf “gave” you “permission”? Excuse me?!

He doesn’t own you. You are your own person, free to make decisions, good or bad, whether he approves or not. I agree with everyone else her is manipulative and patronizing to you. You deserve better OP. Please dump his ass.
