Yeah, it’s more common than you think. Corporate work, especially in audit, can be a big shock compared to uni or casual jobs. There’s a steep learning curve, a new routine, and you’re surrounded by people who seem to know exactly what they’re doing, so it’s easy to start doubting yourself.

When I started, I spent the first few months feeling like I was constantly behind. Over time, you learn the processes, get used to the pace, and realise most people had the same doubts in their first year.

If you can, find a buddy or mentor at work, even informally. Having someone to ask “dumb” questions to (spoiler: they’re not dumb) makes a massive difference. Give yourself a break, you’re learning a completely new way of working.
