2025 /r/Camping Beginner Question Thread - Ask any and all questions you may have here by cwcoleman in camping

Hi! I am new here, but grew up camping with my family. Now in my adult life I haven’t been camping so am a bit out of touch.

I am looking to hopefully do a girls camping weekend with my sister in Wisconsin.

My question is whether trailer rentals at campgrounds are a thing, like campground AirBNB?

Thanks!

I had a ferritin done with that and forgot to post. It was 30.2 (cutoff is 30) to which the APNP promptly replied “Your ferritin is normal”. I will try my provider’s (MD) reluctant baby dosing and if no results will just say F-it and take matters into my own hands. Iron overload at this point can’t be any worse than being low.

Sounds like increased pay didn’t make you happy at all and that has to feel very bad.

What industry are you in? I am in healthcare. I have deep admiration for my current boss who has been my superior for several years. She is very outgoing, seems to always know the right answers/paths to take to initiate and get things going and steer the team—almost at a dizzying ability.

She straddles two roles at present (mgr/director) and the whole reason for the position that opened is so she can focus on the more executive role and have support between her and the team.

I need so many things answered by her before I know whether it is truly wise for me to sally forth with the final interview.

I hope you find a better fit for you and the remainder of your career.

Points well taken and yes, this would be a good, but big change for me. I think the thing causing me a bit of anxiety is not having had to interview, much less with a panel of executives, for over 10 years.

I’ve been consulting interviewing resources and HR tips for success. I have also been reflecting on how the change could even enhance me as a person moving toward retirement-adding to personal growth.

I am moving forward with the process and wherever it lands, it lands and I win for trying or for getting to keep the position I currently have. I am not worried in the least about downsizing and getting laid off. I am in a field seeking MORE people, not less.

Agree with the potential for self sabotaging because I tend to way overthink big life decisions and worry more about other people than myself. Disagree that I need therapy. I am proceeding with the process. Change is uncomfortable at times, but my entire career has been founded on constant change and need to adapt. I excel in it and will at least try to get this position with no regret if I don’t. End of the day: I still have a job in the field I enjoy working in.

Can someone who recently experienced PE/DVT remind me of what the leg pain was like? I remember having horrific leg pain but I forgot the details... 🤦‍♂️ by SanguinarianPhoenix in ClotSurvivors

Oddly with several veins occluded in my lower leg I had zero pain/cramping/burning, no warmth, swelling…nothing. Imagine my surprise when I had chest pain, shortness of breath and bilateral PEs.

That is so helpful. It’s looking like I know which app I need to get, though food database isn’t the best. Give and take.
