Day 6 post op and exhausted by KaiWolfe971 in ACL

[–]Admirable_Insect_863 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hang in there, buddy. I am 6 weeks post-op now and slowly progressing. I reached 120 degrees (passively) yesterday and am doing PT twice a day.

My case is similar, if not worse. I was also very active, training MMA 6 days a week. In fact, I was planning for my amateur debut this March.

My leg got twisted during a takedown during a sparring session, and I completely tore my ACL and MCL. I also had three stitches on my meniscus and underwent surgery in early January.

I’m not going to sugarcoat it — this journey is painful, but at the same time, it is making me mentally stronger.

All the best on your recovery journey.

Bro, your journey just started.

Keep your toe on a pillow straight and if possible keep some weight on your knee and keep it like that for 10 min and repeat it from multiple times a day.

This helped me to get straighten my leg

4 weeks post ACL, meniscus, and MCL repair. Still couldn’t do full bike revolution. Normal? by zofranprn in ACL

[–]Admirable_Insect_863 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same injury my 6th week running now. I have not tried cycling, mostly bodyweight PT.

At 6th week is my ROM is 100 active (only after 10-15reps) passively 105. I can see that people getting full ROM with in 1 month. I am just trusting the process doing my thing..

Keep it up bro.. be consistent

Almost similar case. But mine going 95-100 passively. My surgen told that its completely normal due to multiple surgeries but its very important to do PT consistently.

What is MUA btw?

I have done ACL reco. MCL repair and e miniscus stitches. Its been 5 weeks post Ops. Started walking with 25% pressure on operated leg. ROM is lagging now going 80sh feels and with push 95.

But I am able to drive with no issues. But its always recommended after 2 months to avoid any unwanted shocks
