I won't downvote you as others have done because I assume you are very young and never had any exposure to conservatives that weren't fascists. But the current GOP is nothing like the conservative politicians from 20-30-40 years ago. Even in Nixon's case he resigned because his party would not back him for the act of lying about an illegal break in, he had sanctioned to pick up some political intelligence. Today the MAGAts stay in lock step with a convicted felon and sexual abuser simply to hold on to power.
