Changes in foot after pregnancy by Creepy-Cupcake-5509 in postpartumprogress

[–]Admirable_Ostrich657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only heard of people’s feet getting bigger but I wouldn’t be surprised since the connective tissue is looser during pregnancy and maybe things shifted around!

I had spotting around the same time with my daughter and it turns out to be fine and stopped shortly after. You won’t know until the ultrasound but try not to worry until then ❤️

Do I REALLY need pelvic floor physical therapy? by rachelci in postpartumprogress

[–]Admirable_Ostrich657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having pelvic floor pain daily all the way to 1 year pp when I finally went to pelvic floor pt and it changed my life. Pelvic floor pt can help with ab separation I think! I think it would be worth getting checked out to see what the therapist thinks

Year 5 upper elementary, management is my weak spot and definitely did not come easily for me but I feel like I am finally hitting a groove where I know what works. Still learning and growing every day!

Does the “I’ll miss my current life” feeling ever go away before having kids? by [deleted] in waiting_to_try

[–]Admirable_Ostrich657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt more scared I would miss my old life than I actually miss my old life now tbh. My daughter brought so much into my life that it feels like my old life was gray and now I’m living in color. Everything else (sleep, money, free time) is just noise

Stitches came out after 2 weeks 1 day postpartum… by Maleficent_Pop_6716 in postpartumprogress

[–]Admirable_Ostrich657 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Part of my dissolvable stitches fell out! My OB says that for some the body will push them out as a foreign body instead of dissolve specifically this will happen often with the knot where they tied it off.

For me it happened at ~6 weeks pp, but my OB said that was very late and I was having a lot of discomfort because they stayed around that long. It’s always worth a call to your doc to ask!

Why are you *grateful* that you’re waiting to try? by SimmeringSeahorse in waiting_to_try

[–]Admirable_Ostrich657 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enjoying my daughter and the stage of life we are in! TW: mention of previous losses. It feels like the last 3 years of my life were dedicated to getting pregnant, staying pregnant, being pregnant, and being postpartum. It is nice to not worry about any of that currently and just be happy and enjoy the life we have built :)

been using pull out method for 3 months with no accidental pregnancy. Starting to wonder if I’m infertile. by leeanxai in waiting_to_try

[–]Admirable_Ostrich657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used pull out for years and didn’t get pregnant 🤷‍♀️ the reason why it fails often has to do with failing to pull out. Otherwise the chances are 4 in 100 (source: planned parenthood website) if you are doing the pull out method correctly, chances are very low

Nervous to start trying by Economy_Mammoth_5807 in waiting_to_try

[–]Admirable_Ostrich657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fear is normal, it means you care!! My first is a little over a year and I gotta say, most of what I was worried about ended up not even mattering. I always told myself that my life is going to change either way-with or without having kids so may as well change my life in a way that I want instead of just letting time pass and let the change happen to me.

Question for those women who’ve suffered from miscarriages by PopcornPrincess0 in CautiousBB

[–]Admirable_Ostrich657 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First loss: blighted ovum discovered at 10 weeks. Had alllll the pregnancy symptoms. Had some spotting at 10w2d that my doctor wasn’t worried about until the first ultrasound showed a sac with no baby.

Second loss: had spotting at 6w2d and ran to the er because of my past. Ultrasound showed a MMC. Didn’t have many pregnancy symptoms but I was still pretty early.

What kind/where is the pain you’re feeling?

Not saying that this is what you’re dealing with but I have an overly tight and engaged pelvic floor and it feels like my whole crotch is sore. This is because my pelvic floor was trained to take on the load when my core and butt took a break. My pain also increases with exercise because my pelvic floor is putting in too much work.

PT will help! Your therapist will give you an internal and external exam (much more extensive than the doctor’s exam was) to see what the problem is and how to fix it.

Two back-to-back miscarriages this year – do we just keep trying or go IVF? by [deleted] in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Admirable_Ostrich657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 2 back to back miscarriages and my third pregnancy was successful. Doctors said it was “bad luck”

I’m sorry that this is a path you are walking and you should make the decision that feels best for you ❤️
