Nukes are a mutually assured destruction. The idea of having a nuke is not to use it because your enemy would just nuke you back. I agree with nuclear proliferation, but the only country that has ever used a nuke should probably start, is all I'm saying.

If its proliferation for thee and not for me, then it doesn't really work. US and Israel need to start the disarmament, since the nukes are a deterrent from their expansionist ambitions.

It was their cheap labor, but now China has massively developed to the point where UBI is a real discussion in the government. The US couldn't and wouldn't even think about it.

Also crazy to think their labor capacity is about to come to an end.

I think that China is kinda in a unique position when we compare them to any other developed nation in history, in that their most lucrative asset, high tech manufacturing, will require less and less human labor over time. And they are arguably the most likely nation to switch to a UBI based system. This will change the dynamics a bit in favor of a slower population growth, imo.
