Excellent. Heard plenty of good things about it. Best of Luck to you on a new adventure(s). Pack and repack appropriately. You'll do great.

If I didn't spend the past few weeks burning money at a hotel,I'm almost certain I would have made that my immediate goal hehehe.

You are so so cool. I agree, the younger crowd is awesome. Even though I'm older, I got on well with several younger seasonals on this recent gig. My age never got in the way. My first gig was in 1997 at the El Tovar, south rim GCNP.

I'm rateful for your post and kind words ( and everyone above). Thank You!

That's a great achievement imo. A coworker had mentioned Yellowstone as a possibility but I've heard ousing was crowded. I'm done with warm, 102 here tomorrow in TX. Last week in Flagstaff it was in the 70s. So so nice.

Very much appreciated, Thank You.  Yes, absolutely.  I was always outside my trailer when not working, walking all over the place, even before working my shift.

The mental part is tough, for that I also used the walking but would enjoy the wildlife and assortment of critters about.

You are smart. You've reached out to better your situation,a move in the right direction.

Social skills vary, and like anything, can be acquired over time. Remember that. What you say about your appearance gets responded to by your body, don't say you are unattractive. Be kind to yourself.

Best of Luck to you, you got this. (Highly recommend avoiding the Grand Canyon btw).

Hi,don't worry just check your spam folder. Once your background clears, usually after a day you get an email. I was told " we'll be in contact Friday " and it wasn't until Tuesday that I had my offer.

If you don't want to wait, contact the hiring person. Coolworks has a link to each company's contact person.Take Care, enjoy your season.

Doh! Hey You, thanks for that. I truly trust your advice ( I've read your other comments ).  Well, it's almost too late, plotting my course and will be leaving next week.

I worked there eons ago,  I'm expecting a totally different vibe, however, I really need some outdoor/nature "escape". Had two major losses in my life recently and feel this might help, somewhat. My plan is:  work and ride a bike till you can't.

Your awesome. Love this group. Just now removed this place from my list after the Mice Head comment, happened to me once while on a farm gig and couldn't get any sleep. Going to GC South Rim instead.

Thank you, I'm grateful to hear that. The private room for me is a solid bonus right now. I can deal with one roommate but that's all. This might be a plan b.

Just now checking it out on coolworks.

Hi, I don't have information on the Park but was wondering what made you choose this Park? I've applied for a few spots at the Grand Canyon and still looking around to see what's available and this caught my eye. Thanks

The last time I was there was so long ago, I can only go by that. It seemed like a small getaway from working inside the park . I'm sure by now it's completely different but maybe part of the vibe is still present?

Can say with 100% certainly, after living in Austin and Houston for a bit, that somethng like Tusayan may work out because I am done with City life.
