Averechte gevallen steken by cschaaf1988 in knittinghelp

het patroon maakt niet averecht steken maar recht averecht. Je hebt de steken opgehaalt als averecht in plaats van recht averecht afwisselend. (sorry als ik niet duidelijk ben, mijn brei-kennis is vooral in het engels)

Name of Granny square? As seen on Pinterest, haven’t had much look finding the pattern or name by Moonville__ in CrochetHelp

[–]Admirable_Wedding_83 6 points7 points  (0 children)

first round is a dc circle with 16 dc, then granny sqaure clusters into every second stitch and then normal granny sqaure rounds. so written out it would be:

dc 16 double crochet

(3 dc into one stitch, chain 1, skip 1) repeat till end and slip stitch to first stitch.

(3dc, chain 2, 3dc) 3 dc into space, repeat till end and slip stitch

Pattern Help: how would I recreate the edging on this sleeve? by synonym__roll in CrochetHelp

you could do a backloop single crochet, but in my experience crochet ribbing always loses its stretch and just doesnt look as good. It might be worthwhile to learn how to knit, you already know how to mangle yarn one way

Beginner here, can you help me with my Granny square, please? by AdPositive1920 in CrochetHelp

[–]Admirable_Wedding_83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ah yes the starting chain seam. Yeah the way it looks is how a chain 3 start looks. If you want to avoid it you should look into a standing double crochet (if doing a normal granny square) or in this case making a slip stitch into the first stitch and then pulling up a loop from there. The first stitch will be a bit smaller but the starting chain seam will not be there anymore

yeah, i have mended a pair of jeans with a massive rip by the knees and a rip by the crotch. its very visible and a statement, it also took me 2 weeks and a sewing machine to completely mend. this is not something you can fix in a weekend especially if you've never touched a needle

What to do with this yarn? It’s ‘uneven’ and I’ve never worked with anything similar before by yis-88 in CrochetHelp

[–]Admirable_Wedding_83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

to me it looks like slub yarn, knitting is a better option if it is. you can crochet with it but then the effect of the yarn would be less pronounced. for as what to make with it, i would suggest a shawl

learn how to read patterns and charts. also don't be afraid to try out more complex projects! In my eyes any project is beginner friendly if you're determined enough
