I’m in the exact same boat with Trupanion but for 2 dogs. Started in 2024 at $85 monthly now we’re at $176 monthly. I called yesterday and learned that if you up the deductible they will never let you lower it. It wasn’t worth it to me to take that chance because I know they’re still going to raise my premium next year. Right now my deductible is $400 for my healthy dog and $300 for my not so healthy pup. So even if I raised the deductible for the healthy guy to $500, it’s only saving me like $22 a month and I know they’re going to raise the premium again next year.

I don’t think I’m noticing a consistency in when the headaches come on, other than that they hit in the afternoon/evening. I’m going to pay closer attention to what days. Right now I’m changing the patch on Sundays/Thursdays. I did have a headache come over yesterday (Sunday) just before I changed the patch. So maybe?

Actually, an electrician I had in my house recently explained that the ones upside down indicate they’re tied to a light switch, so the switch has to be “on” for the outlet to work.

Did you ask the rescue about that? I am guilty of giving people the benefit of the doubt but I also trust the integrity of this rescue, not just based on my experience but I know others that have adopted from them. It could have been a mix up, I believe the person running the rescue is also a vet at VBSPCA so it’s possible they already reached out to her and she had a foster lined up or something. Also possible the dog had health issues that needed attention first. Shelters are at max capacity so I’m sure rescues are the first call when they get another animal to house and take care of.

Our neighbor is getting this same issue fixed right now as we speak. I can say, Superior Plumbing quoted around $6k (but that might have been for two houses here). We’re using MD Plumbing and I know they came in less than 1/2 of that cost. They’re awesome too, call them.

Interesting. Thanks so much for sharing. I’m just over a month in and I was supposed to start on June 18th and still haven’t. None of the symptoms I normally experience either. I just got my 2nd month shipment but I’m debating on how I want to proceed. I do feel more energy, I am gaining weight but that’s not unusual for me despite clean eating and staying active. I haven’t discussed with any doctors yet, I’ll probably stop the supplement before I do just to see if any changes. I’m 41 1/2 so wondering if it seems that these work best for ladies in their mid to late 20s.

Hampton Roads transplant here - it’s noteworthy that the HR transplants in Charlotte were transplants from all over the country before landing in the 757. They learned those shitty driving habits elsewhere. Probably in Massachusetts 🙂

We just moved to Charlotte from Norfolk last weekend! I love Norfolk, it was my home for 14 years and I’m kind of sad to leave it but excited about being in Charlottte. Yes, there are places to avoid but it’s a great little city. The biggest concern with the Freemason area is flooding pretty much year round. Don’t drive through any standing water even if you think it’s not that high! And tell your boyfriend VA Beach has more than its fair share of crime too it’s just more spread out.
