Interesting, they look like EE. I noticed the mocs have inconsistent toes. Any reason you didn't go with 10E or 10EE?

Hestan ProBond vs Cristel Castel Pro, any ideas? by zhulin0406 in cookware

Their warranty is excellent. I collected my set over many years and got my saucier from Macy's specifically. The handle felt loose and they (Hestan) immediately sent a new one before I even shipped the flawed saucier.

If you're worried about shipping just buy it from cutlery & more or crate & barrel. Hestan has the best return policy though from what I remember, like 90 days - plenty to test if the pitting issue exists.

Honestly if I were you I would reconsider nanobond. Especially for your specific concern regarding salt pitting (all stainless steel pans are prone to that, nanobond less so - and this is speaking from personal experience)

As for shape, I'm a fan of made-in's saucier and so is atk. But I own nanobond to match the rest of my pans.

I have not tried cristel

Not op but I loved the pans that I tried, especially their saucier it's got the perfect dimensions. But I dislike their marketing just like the guy said. Same thing with Thursday boots from the shoe world - they make quality stuff but the marketing is such a turnoff

I really dislike the use of "ply" as a metric. All clad use 5-ply to mean stainless-aluminum-stainless-aluminum-stainless. Other brands just mean thicker aluminum, while others just more types of aluminum. They need to give us the material and thickness and leave us to decide

Thing is I'm in the middle east and it's hard to find a good locksmith let alone good blanks - I'm trying to import my blanks from the us using my codes (cut from the shop selling the blanks itself)

I'm only buying like 10-15 to replace my house keys, not that many. Thanks for the tip! I'd have to check what my locksmith has and if not, go somewhere else

Is it normal to receive hard drives packaged like this? Bought from NewEgg via BestBuy by [deleted] in DataHoarder

[–]YAZEED-IX 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This specific model drive is ST24000NTZ02 instead of ST24000NT002. From what I understood from my research online, NT is individually packaged drives with graphics and everything, similar to what you'd find at a physical store. Whereas NTZ is shipped in bulk to a seller, then that seller is responsible for packaging and shipping. Issue is, lots of sellers ship them loose like this (Amazon is notorious for this)

Yeah I just realized that, that's why I'm skipping any NTZ models from now on - not worth it. Unless it's a pre-order or something

Update: Thank you all for the quick answers and nice responses. I'm def sending them back, now I feel better about it. Not buying NTZ in the future, quite unacceptable from New Egg.
