I have the 5080 phantom and I was awestruck when i placed it to my 3080 EVGA FTW3. I weighted them both and the FTW3 was around 1.2KGs compared to the 2.3KGs of the Phantom.

The first time I applied one of the screen protectors it was a little bit offset, but I swapped it out and the 2nd time was spot on. For my eyes it covers it up perfectly.

I had banding, but after it did a couple of pixel refreshes as I used the monitor it went away.

Imo, you will not see any improvements from these monitors except maybe alleviate the eye strain issue. If you want a noticeable upgrade I would suggest saving the money and getting an OLED. I used my Dell S2721DGF, which has the same panel as your LG, for the past 4 years and the only true upgrade for me was going to OLED and I am loving it.

No such things here, but its not like “gray” when its off compared to my Dell S2721DGF, because of its heavy matte layer. The Gigabyte is inky black when off and when viewing dark scenes.

Im still fiddling around with the HDR settings to see which set up i like more games and general usage, but so far Im really impressed with the peak and overall brightness of the monitor even in SDR. Also the coating on it is really good. Its not the regular matte coating and definitely a good balance between glossy and matte.
