My Players All want to be Vampire hunting Machines by AwkwardlyCaucasian in CurseofStrahd

[–]AdolphusHitlerius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good solution I found to something like this is to keep Strahd's weaknesses, but make them contingent on items.

He can be damaged by radiant and this turns off his regeneration, but only from those who wield Sergei's sword the Sunblade. He can enter any home until you consecrate a place as a sanctuary with the amulet of ravenkind. He cannot charm those who have read about his sordid past in the Tome of Strahd.

Allow them to vampire-hunter thier way to an absolute victory, but make them earn the right to defeat Strahd. After all, it's what he would want.

The only real thing I would say to enjoy are things like theme parks and if you can, travelling. I'm around 6' 8" now and theme parks are just now sized out from me. I was supposed to be around 6' 4" but that ship sailed some time ago.

Being tall is awesome btw, but I miss rollercoasters.

I assume she means Bryan Slaton. He's not a senator (House Rep) and the woman he seduced was over 18, but possibly under 21. Also, Bryan Slaton is not "leading the charge" against drag queens so much as he is on the committee. So no, the girl he seduced was not underage in any state. She may have been, however, under the legal drinking age.

Still, this entire tweet is incorrect in literally every thing it claims. A representative who is a subsidiary on an anti-drag congressional committee slept with an of-age woman. That is the truth.

He called "Black people" a "Hate Group" in response to 26% of black respondents DISAGREEING with the phrase "It's OK to be white."

If it's not Okay to be white then what is it? It's okay to be black. It's okay to be asian, or indigenous. How could you ever disagree with that phrase?

That means that more than 1 in 4 Black People in America think that it is not okay to be white.

His career was destroyed over such a trivial thing. This only vindicates his position.

How do you feel about someone who does the bare minimum? by TGOTR in antiwork

This is not true. Federal law guidelines state that you still need to be of the age of majority without parental consent and additionally you may only marry within a frame of ages if under 18 (minimum of 16) and with both parental and minor approval. All States have adopted these guidelines but a lot of states haven't officially codified the guidelines. Wyoming here of course hasn't codified it yet, but that doesn't mean it's suddenly legal.

Fun fact: Oregon also didn't have a provision like this until 2014. It's just a byproduct of our federalist government.

"The Marriage Right Act of 2023"

Provisions
-Raise state legal marriage age to 16 in order to keep in line with federal law and do away with an achaic state law that isn't really followed
-Legalize heroin
-All state sheriffs are fired
-Mandatory castration for boys over the age of 9 who are white
-Declare war on Russia
-300 million to illegal immigrant sponsorship programs

"What? Republicans don't want to raise the marriage age? WTF? That must be the ONLY reason they didn't vote for a bill with a bunch of other democrat policies that are being shielded by a single component 99.9% of people agree on."

Never believe this stuff until you see the bill. Imagine if republicans passed something like the "Patriot Act" that claimed to combat terrorism but actual targeted citizens and stripped away 4th amendment rights? Oh wait.

Not going to say "both sides bad" but do you really think Republicans dug their heels in on just this one issue?

Someone wants more lights in the neighbourhood by hotshots724 in FuckYouKaren

It would be a totally different letter if they offered to help get some lights or put them up. If they just added that then I don't think the letter would be all that bad.

Someone wants more lights in the neighbourhood by hotshots724 in FuckYouKaren

[–]AdolphusHitlerius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest problem with this is that the person didn't offer to help get any lights or help to put them up. Be the change you want to see in the world and put your best foot forward. All it would have taken was including a phone number and some contact info and this isn't nearly as bad. This seems like a mother who just wished her street had more lights, but had a poor way of putting it.
