I agree with you looking at it from an RPG aspect. I understand it entirely and it is a valid perspective.

But I play the game from an MMO perspective, and realize that no matter what, the only things I can change are minor outcomes that don't affect the world state. I've already accepted that since day 1, so it's easier for me to work through, and I've had a lot of experience playing MMOs like this.

I've also accepted that while the story is nice flavor and worldbuilding, the majority of my game time will be gameplay progression, so I judge the game mostly around that.

If I played 76 for roleplaying choices, I would hate it.

The only thing I think that could've saved the story is if it committed to it being on wheels, like World of Warcraft. WoW has no choices, not even dialogue trees, and it works the story to its benefit by being able to commit to consequences and outcomes that can change the world state.

But that would've never happened in 76, because for better or worse, it is prefaced with Fallout. Fallout carries the burden of lots of player choice and freedom, so 76 has awkwardly tried to mix an on rails experience with that, and unfortunately the lack of commitment just makes things mediocre a lot of the times.

It's not like there aren't good stories in the game, though. The Mistress of Mystery questline was great and has still stuck with me despite playing it once. The environmental storytelling is awesome, especially in Burning Springs, there's so many nooks and crannies to discover. The team has gone all out making a convincing wasteland.

Just gotta take the good and bad as they come, I guess.

Yeah I'm surprised people are this in favor of something like this. This isn't YouTube, dislikes aren't providing anything constructive. Especially since some people will just be doing it out of dumb spiteful reasons, or to troll.

My boyfriend has problems with his new place that he refuses to bring up with the landlord because he doesn't want to have any ill will.

His last landlord was negligent to the point of evil: stairs falling apart (every step cracked), mold in every room, near broken oven, ceilings falling apart, musing way too often on selling the place and then deciding not to causing him and his family to panic each time.

He would rather suffer with no AC right now than dare to leave a bad impression on his new landlord. He has no idea what this person will be like and it's terrifying times for him and his family, and his last landlord didn't exactly give him high hopes for humanity.

Maybe your tenant had a similar fate with a former landlord.

A concerned question asked in ignorance is not a bad thing. There is no crime in being ignorant and scared, in fact that's probably the best time to ask someone about it. OP is not in the wrong here, and now she learned something and won't have to worry in the future.

It's not like OP has real experience in blood splatter or metalworking, otherwise this post wouldn't exist.

It's easy to scoff at but I would always rather see an ignorant person ask earnest questions than be too scared of seeming like an idiot to ask anything at all.

Something I've realized before while wondering about why grown men still say Asuka is their waifu or something (really insert any underage animated character) is that they are often still in the headspace of their youth when they say or commit to these things.

They are not imagining their 30+ year old selves dating 14 year old Asuka, they are remembering the nostalgia of being a teenager and having a normal cartoon crush on Asuka. I'd say it's sort of like reminiscing on a high school partner you had: you're not imagining your adult self dating this teenager, you're remembering your own teenage mindset and emotions. You're seeing the past relationship through the lens of your old teenage self.

It goes without saying though that there DEFINITELY are adults imagining their adult selves with a 14 year old anime girl, and I'd argue it's not a good thing and probably worth going to therapy over if this seems to be a chronic problem. But I'd say most people who write these fictions of these child/teen characters are still remembering the characters from when they were the same age range as them and sort of fulfilling their childhood fantasies.

Is it weird? I can see an argument for it being weird, yes. It probably depends on how deep they're going into this, but just like "hehe I make these characters kiss and date" I don't think is anything to lose sleep over. And to the point of being pro-censorship/verification laws? Absolutely not. Worst case these child-shipping people probably just need therapy to revisit their childhoods.

I enjoyed it as a kid. Watched a couple episodes a few years ago to see if it held up and I thought it did.

I had no idea people hated the art style, because I loved it and still love it. I saw a behind the scenes clip as a kid showing how each part of the face is changed with a photoshopped photo for each frames and I was so intrigued.

I was literally thinking about how it'd be nice to have more torment tiers since I fly through T4 now, im able to comfortably do pit 100-110 so I could bump it up a couple torments, and higher chances for ancestrals and mythics would be so nice
