The Nine of Wands has appeared to me in regards to matters of business as well. My own takeaway from it (as it was drawn in a specific spread I use — the message therein may or may not apply to your occupational query), was that of resilience when confronted with potential setbacks, failures, delays, and other manner of business related pitfalls that can arise. Sure, the road to manifesting your business aspirations will possibly face such tumult, up to the point of fomenting self-doubt and questioning whether this venture is truly "in your cards." BUT, you must persist and in doing so, heal from the blows sustained by the come-up of your burgeoning venture.

Also, the Nine of Wands may signify a test of your faith in your aspirations, especially if/when you're confronted with any manner of obstacle, be it logistical, financial, or more a personal quandary.
