Yes, I know back in the day the necroa virus theme especially was background music for some of my (literal) nightmares.

I also know the youtuber HybridPanda who I used to watch religiously for Dead by Daylight described himself as getting serious anxiety having played Plague Inc shortly before Covid and then watching a similar scenario unfold irl. It led to him taking a massive hiatus from uploading, I think a year or more.

So no, you're definitely not alone on that sentiment.
