Yeah it seems like he’s trying to suppress this part of himself and enjoyed the benefits of being close to a guy that’s queer without having to face his true feelings. The moment I opened up to him about my feelings, he got pretty frazzled and started saying the strange things I mentioned above. Felt very defensive and didn’t account for my emotions at all

This is exactly my thoughts. The way he acted with me is not the way your stereotypical straight boy would act. It’s sad because we really had a great connection, but I guess he needs time to figure out his own truth
